Steve raised his brow at her and looked over to Bucky. She had excitedly told him about seeing the baby and hearing the heartbeat, but she hadn't talked about anything besides that. Bucky simply shook his head at Steve.

"Do I even want to know?" Steve asked him.

"Considering that's your sister? No," Bucky shook his head again. "Just keep asking her about the picture and heartbeat and you'll be fine."

Shrugging, Steve looked over at the two and gave a small grin. Allie was looking in a cabinet for dessert as Bucky began to lean against the refrigerator. As Allie turned around to face the two once more, she raised a brow at her brother.

"What?" she asked.

"Nothing," Steve shrugged. "It's just crazy to think that you're going to be a mom."

"I know," she said with a smile.

Bucky turned to face Allie who began to happily eat leftover cookies from a recent batch she had baked. Her smile caused her nose to crinkle and the sparkle in her eyes was bright. As he looked back over to Steve, he felt happy to realize that he had his family with him.

"Well, I ought to head out," Steve sighed. "I'll see you two soon."

Steve gave Allie and Bucky each hugs before grabbing his coat and leaving the apartment. As Allie finished her cookies, she went to lay down on the couch. Bucky grinned at her before taking the television remote in his hand and turning on a sitcom for her to listen to. He remembered a conversation they'd had where she had mentioned that she watched them with Wanda.

"You know," Allie began as she took a deep breath. "I knew I'd feel sick and gross, be in pain sometimes, and I obviously knew I'd be hungry. But so far this kid just wants food."

"Be careful what you say," Bucky teased as he walked over to the couch, carefully laying on top of her where his head laid against her chest. "You might just end up jinxing yourself."

"I know, I know," she laughed as she brought a hand up to play with his hair. "Now what are you doing?"

"I'm seeing if heartbeats are comforting," he grinned. "We heard baby's, now I want to hear yours."

"That doesn't sound terrifying at all," she laughed.

"You know what I meant," he grinned. "I've never really paid attention to anyone's heartbeat but mine."

"Come to think of it," Allie sighed. "I don't think I ever paid much attention to yours. You'd think I would have."

"Well," he continued to grin. "I can tell you one thing."

"And that is?"

"Our baby's heartbeat is strong like her mom's."

"Her?" Allie propped herself up enough to look at him, dropping her hand from his hair. "What do you mean her? We don't know if it's a boy or a girl."

"I have a feeling," Bucky shrugged.

"Well I think you're wrong," Allie said quickly.

"You're just saying that because you want to argue with me," he smirked.

"No, I genuinely think you're wrong. Arguing with you is the added bonus," she smirked back.

"Alright, then let's make a bet."

"We're not betting on our baby," she rolled her eyes.

"Because you know I'll win?"

"Because we'll be happy either way."
