You Have To Ask Nicely

                                    

                                          
Everyone at the table not wanting to intrude on their private argument, their breakfast was a silent affair.  But with silence, comes an uncomfortable feeling, and Harry could feel all of it.  It made him feel sick and nauseous.  At the same time he realized that he should have known better and not demanded something this important.  He had always asked permission, why stop now?  Also, who the hell did he think he was talking to Draco that way, and in front of people.  He felt a terrible shame come over him.  Without even touching his food, he stood up abruptly and left the dining room.  
"Draco, what's going on?", asked his mother.  They hadn't seen both men since the day that Draco had returned, and now it seems they were fighting.  It wasn't like them.  They only ever had words of love for each other.  Before Draco could answer, he could feel the self hate coming from Harry.  Maybe he had been too harsh with him.  He would answer all her questions, he just needed to see if Harry was all right first.  Harry would always come first.  He rose and excused himself, saying he would be right back.  
Finding Harry outside, he stepped up to him and hugged his back.  Harry leaned back into the embrace.  Swallowing loudly, he turned around to face Draco.  "I am so sorry love, I wasn't thinking.  Just having you back, I couldn't bear the thought of losing you again", he said.  Draco looked at him and smiled.  "You have nothing to apologize for Harry, I'm a spoilt brat, you know this.  I want what I want", he replied with a smirk.  Harry smiled at him, all his fears vanishing at the radiant smile coming from his love.  
"Everyone is worried.  Perhaps we should explain ourselves", said Harry.  "Perhaps they should fuck off and keep their noses out of our business", came the snappy reply.  Harry laughed out loud, and said no.  Their inclusion and acceptance of them made it so that they could put their noses in our business.  Draco snorted at that.  Together, holding hands, they went back to the breakfast table and sat down.  It had been agreed that Harry would speak on their behalf.  
"Apologies everyone", said Harry.  "I know that it's been a while since any of you have seen Draco, and I have been keeping him to myself, so your worry is not only appreciated but warranted as well.  So I do apologize", he said again.  
"Is everything all right?", asked Narcissa bravely.  
Harry bit his lip and replied, "Yes, everything is fine thank you.  I asked Draco something, and he was being sassy about it, that's all", he said, looking at his Omega.  He sent a silent message with his eyes, that he wouldn't elaborate what his question had been about.  Yet.  
He now had a new task, and going about it had to be done without his lover's knowledge.  Great, he thought.  How does one go about that when you share thoughts and emotions.  Pleased with the answer, everyone turned back to their food, and when the house elves had cleared the table, Harry asked for a private word with Narcissa and Lucius.
They adjourned to the library, where Harry knew, that what was going to be discussed would stay within the walls, and he welcomed it.  Both Draco's parents didn't know what to expect, and so took a seat and waited for Harry to start talking.  Taking a deep breath, he hoped for the best.
"You both know that I love Draco with all my heart.  Even if it weren't for our bond, I would still love him.  He is...he's the other part of me.  He completes me.  Being the Alpha has been quite a trying time for all of us, and I'm sure that you all had to come to terms with it and accept it quite suddenly.  Everything happened so fast.  So I realize that it couldn't have been easy on anyone, but especially on you two", he said.  Looking at them, he could see that they had no idea what he was trying to say.  He would have to ask their permission of course, Harry was just that type of guy.  So demanding something on this scale, had been wrong of him from the beginning.
