Jessica

Today is the day we're doing gender reveal for the family. I thought it would be nice to create happy memories for the baby and to help everyone move on and heal from what happened. Sara and I already know the gender as we couldn't help but take a peek on the ultrasound monitor.

We're having the party here at our home and the party suppliers have already come to set up the garden. The kids are coming home today and I am so excited to finally have them back home after months of being away. I put the picture frame of the kids back to my bedside table.

"Honey?" I called out to Sara who was in our bathroom as I was putting on my earrings from our bedroom.

"I'm almost done. One sec."

"Okay. Visitors should be coming anytime now. I'll be downstairs to check on the food and stuff. If you need me I'll be at the garden."

"Okay Love. See you in a while."

As I went to the garden, I took photos of the set up while it still looks fresh clean. Then I heard cars one by one arriving at our driveway. I went to the front to greet them and as I opened the door, a running Luke and Sofia came and jumped into my arms.

"Oh, my babies!!! I've missed you so much! Oh God! I love you both so much!" I exclaimed as I showered them with kisses, tears threatening to fall, and then carried both of them on each arm. They both leaned their heads on my shoulder. Oh God, I didn't realize the extent of how I've missed them until they were finally here.

"They indeed missed you too Baby. Not once did they stop asking for you and Sara." My Mom said as she came over to give me a hug. Then my Dads came and followed in for a big hug.

"I want to join!" Sara said pouting as she descended the stairs.

"Oh, Sara, Baby, come over here!" My mom reached out for her and pulled her into our hug.

We pulled out from the hug and my Dads went on to wherever part of the house they went. My Mom stayed and asked Sara, "How are you? How's the baby?"

"We're fine, Mom. Just getting heavier and I couldn't get a goodnight's sleep. I keep waking up to pee."

"Third month can really be hard and it gets harder. Just take it easy, especially at work."

"I will Mom, thank you."

The rest of the visitors has arrived and so we started the party. The Mexico crew all came in attendance, not one missing. Missouri crew were complete too. And as surprising as it is, the entire cast and crew of Greys were also present. We feel so loved. We've got a pretty tight village here and we are blessed.

We played a lot of games and every time I take a look at Sara to see how she is doing, surprisingly, she seemed genuinely happy and for not have forgotten everything.

Speaking of forgotten, she seemed so happy for today's baby party that she seemed to have forgotten that today IS my birthday. Hmm... Now that I'm thinking about it, no one has greeted me. That's okay though. We were all so caught up with you know what and it really took a toll on all of us. I am just grateful and happy that Sara is happy today and I hope it continues hoping it helps heal her.

The host now called us upfront. It was time to pop the big black balloon. We're so used to the pink and blue colors and so to change it a bit, we used green for boy and yellow for girl.

"Okay so are you guys ready to pop the balloon?"

"Actually, before that, I want to say something." Sara said. I wonder what she'd say this time. It's crazy how, every time we have parties, she always has this speech ready and it always gets me by surprise. When she proposed, Sofia's first birthday, and now this.

"Okay, take it away."

"Before we reveal the gender of our baby, I would like to first thank all of you for coming. I know that this baby came in a very different way and in all honesty and for honesty's sake, it was something we did not want to happen the way it did. But, with faith and love, we've come to terms with the situation and we've accepted this. Healing will take time, it's something that cannot be taken away in an instant. But, I want to thank most especially my wife, my Jessica, my life, my everything." She now faced me and said, "Jessica, thank you so much for everything you've done. You are the strongest woman I know. You never left my side, despite me constantly pushing you away. You held us up. You even loved this baby before I did. I don't know how you do it. What I do know is you definitely are an angel walking on earth. Thank you so much for all the love in you. You never run out of it. I love you so much." She handed the mic to the host, hugged me and kissed me on the lips which I happily reciprocated.

"Thank you, Sara. You made us all tear up. Your family really is full of love. You guys are blessed. Now, let's proceed in popping the balloon, are you ready." The host asked as he handed each of is a pin. "Okay here we go, on my three... 1... 2... 3!"

We popped the balloon together and as the papers inside fell, I was shocked. It was supposed to be green but pink papers and confetti came down from it. I twitched my eyebrows a bit and looked at a smiling Sara. I looked at her confused.

"Happy birthday!" Everyone exclaimed, even the host did.

"Wha---" I was shocked and I looked around and saw that on each pink and white paper, a 'happy birthday' was written. There also were two bigger pink envelopes and I picked it up and saw it was a birthday card from Luke and Sofia. "Oh my gosh I don't know what to say! I thought this was for the baby."

"Yeah, the baby's was just an added reason but this party is really for you. You've done so much for this family. You've sacrificed so much for us; do you think I would forget the day God decided to make you? August 9th was just another ordinary day until you came into this world. That cannot be forgotten." Sara said.

"Yeah, but I thought you all did forget. No one has greeted me today." I looked down on my feet.

"Yeah, that was the plan. To not greet you so we could surprise you."

"You really are full of surprises. Thank you." I looked at her smiling.

"I love you always, Jessica."

"I love you forever and a day, Sara."

"KISS!!!!!" Everyone shouted and we happily obliged.

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, I just wanted to make it to Jessica's birthday. HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO OUR QUEEN!
