Story #6: Almost Home

                                    

                                          
As Hamanatch Noria, Kayama Leah and Togami Byakuya stepped outside the Boston Logan International Airport, Kayama gave everyone — mainly Togami a lecture about America. When that 10 minute lecture was over, Kayama called a taxi. She knew her way around everywhere.

Taxi Driver: Welcome. Where are you headed?
Kayama: DoubleTree, Boston Bayside. 
                          
The driver started their navigation to the hotel. 
                          
Taxi Driver: So, what are you three here for?
Hamanatch: Vacation.
Kayama: Visiting family.
Togami: Visiting family and taking a vacation. 
                          
Togami, who was suffering in the middle of the backseat, gave Kayama and Hamanatch a thumbs up. 
After that scenario, the ride was mostly quiet; the driver did ask a few questions, like how everyone was related; it was weird having a blonde, dirty blonde, and a brunette with a blonde streak saying they're related. 
Once the ride was over, Kayama opened up her phone and went up to the door, and unlocked the front door with her phone. Only a couple seconds later, Kayama had already unlocked the room with her phone.
                          
Hamanatch: Woah. How did you do that?
Kayama: I'm magical.
Togami: It's an app.
Kayama: Way to catch me in a lie.
                          
Kayama: Wait, Noria, why didn't you get a three-bed room?
Hamanatch [snickering] I thought you and Byakuya were dating. 
Kayama [sigh] We are, Noria. But still, we don't share a bed; even a room to be exact! 
Togami: It's because I smell too good. She told me herself.
Kayama: You catch me in a lie, and here you go lying too! But you do smell good. 
Hamanatch: No crap, all I could smell was vanilla in that cramped taxi. Anyways, I'm exhausted. If you two little lovebirds want to go hang out, that's fine, but I'm going to sleep until we have important things to do tomorrow.
                          
Kayama and Togami shared a look of, "Why is my best friend so weird about us sharing a bed?" 
                          
Kayama: I'm gonna set my stuff down and go bother the little kids at the pool. Noria's sleeping already, so if you wanna come with Byakuya, you're welcome to. 
Togami: I might hang out here for a little bit. Even though it's not as nice as other hotel rooms I've been in, it'll work. 
Kayama: Shut it, fancy-pants. 
                          
Kayama quickly changed into her bathing suit and quickly walked to the pool. Most of the kids were in the pool, while their parents were sitting on the ledge or in the hot tubs. Kayama went down the slides a couple times and then hung out on the stairs, waving and smiling at little kids who waved at her. She then went into one of the empty hot tubs, bringing her phone with, texting Togami. 
                          
iMessage: Byakuya <3
                          
Kayama: are you coming 
Byakuya <3: oh shoot
Byakuya <3: i'm leaving the room now 
Kayama: okay, i'll see you in a minute <3
Byakuya <3: ly 
Kayama: ilyt <3
                          
Kayama smiled and anticipated Togami's arrival 
                          
Togami: I'm here. And you're soaked.
Kayama: That's the point of going to the pool. And why are you wearing a sweatshirt?
Togami: Because I felt like it. 
Kayama: If you don't take it off, I'm going to throw you into the pool.
Togami: Geez, if only Noria was here. She'd be cackling. 
Kayama: I'm aware. Now, do you wanna get soaked or not?
Togami: I feel like I'm gonna be soaked either way, so n-
Kayama: [giggling, holding onto Togami's hand] The one and only Byakuya Togami is right again! 
                          
Kayama shoved Togami into the water, plucking off his glasses first and putting them in her bag. 
                          
Kayama: [giggling] Who's soaked now?
Togami: Both of us. 
                          
Kayama tormented the younger kids again by going down the slide, yelling to Togami like a five year old.
                          
Kayama: BYAKUYA!! WATCH THIS!!
Togami: I'm watching.
                          
Kayama dove head first into the water, landing exactly near Togami.
                          
Kayama: Impressive, aren't I?
Togami: Yes, you are, L. And for that little stunt you pulled, take this! 
                          
Togami dragged Kayama out of the water and shoved her in, exactly how she did.
