Glance at Gold.

She woke up every now and then for just a few minutes, but would sleep most of the day. Over a week has passed since Lilith got here, but no one has found anything else that rose suspicion in their territory. There were many discussions held as to why they should keep her or not. There were pro and con arguments to that. None of them could explain why, but everyone felt it. A certain pull towards Lilith coming from their very inside. Some might attempt denying it, but deep inside they knew it was there and real.

Currently most of them sat together in their meeting hall. It was a wide room, the biggest this residence held. The walls reached up high, ceiling towering over them. Ornamentation covered every point one might look at. The big table they sat at was round and centered. Dusky lamps enlightening the windowless room.
They were discussing the situation. The clan tried to be careful about her, but even those that only caught a quick glampse of her while she slept felt the urge to be close to her increasing.

"Killing her off would be a waste," Maddox said sternly, holding his hands in front of his torso, elbows resting on his knees, "she is something unusual, linked to our species."

"How do you know that?" an yet unknown man asked.

"My research." Erros paused for a moment, glancing between his comrades. "And I, you, all of us can feel it."

"What do you mean with 'it'?" the unknown answered again.

"The pull towards her. A natural instinct. Everyone here feels it, which means she has something special to her."

"Well, Erros," a young looking woman spoke up, with a delicate voice, "I agree for once. I must say this Lilith has piqued my interest." She giggled slightly, the smile on her red lips held a mixture of loveliness and animosity. "I won't ballot against some fresh meat."

"Pull yourself together, Wrem. She has to recover first." He sighed dramatically.

"You womanizer are the one to speak. I can barely imagine what carload of lame pick up lines she had to endure while barely conscious."

"Shut up."

"How long will her recovery take?" Maddox interrupted Erros' and Wrem's bickering.

"There's no sure way to say this, I expect another two weeks until she will be able to walk on her own. Though I must say her recovery rate is moving faster than I expected."

"Where is the security coming from? How do we know for sure she is of use?" The unknown inquired. "She could be an enemy after all."

A sudden knock ripped them out of their discussion. "Hello?"

All of them jumped up, starting to lounge at the door, as it opened. They halted in the midst of their attacks, staring at the frame in disbelief. Exceeding all their expectations, Lilith stood there. Her eyes were wide, glancing from one to the other in surprise. She raised a brow, clearing her throat.

"I, uh, didn't mean to interrupt?" she spoke up in an unexpectedly casual tone.

They were frozen for a moment, Erros was the first to regain his usual stance.

"Lilith. You're awake," he stated and approached her, "are you feeling well enough to walk?"

"Yes, I'm feeling better, thank you," she answered with a small smile.

"I'm glad to hear that." He attempted to hide the confusion in his voice at being so wrong. "But, how did you even get here?"

"My legs tend to carry me," she spoke with a cheeky tone.
