Whether is was due to the adrenaline rush, or the stress, everyone had managed to pass out in the waiting room. With Maya, Kaminari, Sero returning from their juice adventures, everyone sat together waiting to hear anything about Izuku's state.

Sero and Katsuki sat far from each other. Katsuki was fully aware of the hurtful things he's said and done to his friend, but Sero wasn't even mentally there to hear an apology. He had already smoked through two fully rolled blunts and was half through a third before Mina took it from him.

His eyes were bloodshot, and pupils were blown wide. He wasn't there, he was practically floating on Cloud-9. Sero liked feeling like this when he was suffering or in pain. After the betrayal he felt from his friend of so many years, it was only right. His body was all tingly, and honestly if it wasn't for the presence of his friends, he would've been wasted. It was no wonder he had fell asleep.

A random nurse walked out of the back area. "Izuku Midoriya?" She called, her small voice was loud enough for Katsuki to shoot to his feet, his sudden actions startling the others.

"Yes. Yes, we're all here for him." Katsuki stuttered. His heart was beating so rapidly. His palms were sweaty, and he was shaking.

"Well," The nurse sighed. "There had to be a blood transfusion done. Mr. Midoriya has lost way to much blood. We managed to remove the bullet, two centimeters to the left and it would've hit his heart."

Everyone felt the air becoming thicker around Katsuki as he nodded his head slowly. "...And my son?"

The nurse looked down, avoiding eye contact with Katsuki. Tears began to gather in his crimson eyes, as he looked to the side. "Is he dead?" The question sent a cold shiver down his friends body.

"We don't know."

The Alpha sighed as more tears streamed his cheeks. It was rare for Katsuki to cry. This was a pain he hadn't felt before. He sat back down, and his eyes wouldn't leave the floor.

"The doctors are doing tests right now and—"

"Do whatever you have to do." Katsuki's voice was small, barely more than a whisper. "I don't care how much anything cost, just save my son." He looked at the nurse and smiled sadly. "I need him to be here."

At this point the friend group were emotional. A child's death, was something that was always considered painful.

"But sir—"

"No buts. Just save my son. Make sure my mate is getting the best treatment possible. Anything to keep them fucking alive."

The nurse nodded sadly, before turning away. "Can we see him?" Ochaco asked, her eyes watery.

"Soon. Not yet. I'm sorry." The nurse scurried away, walking back to the area where Izuku was getting worked on.

"Go home." Katsuki muttered. He looked at his friends through his tears. "The kids shouldn't be here too long."

"'Suki..." Maya whispered, slowly walking up to Katsuki. She wiped her tears and wrapped her arms around Katsuki's neck hugging him. "'M sorry for hitting you." She cried, her small body raking with sobs. "I didn't mean it! 'M so scared for Izu!"

Hearing her cries, only triggered Katsuki's tears to hit harder. "It's okay, I didn't mean to yell at you." He pulled away, wiping her tears. He kissed her forehead, before looking deep into her eyes. "It's okay...it's okay." He repeated, his guilt and sorrow eating at him.

"Excuse me. Excuse me." A voice said, nudging everyone awake. By now it was nightfall, and Kirishima was the one who decided to leave and take the kids with him. Maya was helping and could handle her self a little bit while Kirishima tended to his pups.

"Are you lot still here for Izuku Midoriya?" The nurse asked, her voice held a calming factor to it. She was an older lady, her face wrinkled, and her country accent strong.

"Yes." Kaminari said, furrowing his brows together. "Is he alright?"

"He's stabilized. The blood transfusion is doing wonders, I'll tell ya."

As Katsuki was about to say something, the nurse put her hand up. "And you're his mate, I assume? Rest assured you're baby is good. I did more ultrasounds, and full body scans to make sure your baby as healthy as ever, sweetheart."

Katsuki let out a shaky breath and sobbed. He lowered his head, and began muttering 'thank you' over and over again.

"Do you want to see your mate?"

Katsuki's bloodshot red, puffy eyes shut up, looking at the nurse before standing to his feet abruptly. "Please?!"

"Sure sure, come 'long now." She waved at the friends. "You guys and gals come too."

Everyone walked to the room Izuku was in, with cement around their feet. Even Sero, who was still hurt by Katsuki saying the things he did, pulled Katsuki closer to him and gave him a hug. Katsuki accepted it, giving his friend a shaky, small smile.

"He's right behind this door, lovelies. Whenever you guys are ready." She spared Katsuki a pitiful look, unbeknownst to him, before walking away.

"Ready?" Katsuki's voice was full of fear, as his shaky hand pulled the door open.

Izuku laid there, eyes closed as a monitor kept a look on his heart rate. His chest was bare, allowing his friends and mate to see the bandages and compression on his chest to cover the bullet wound. His arms were lax as a mask covered his mouth and nose.

"He's okay." Mina covered her mouth, as tears swarmed in her eyes. "He's okay."

And he was okay. He was stable. It was only a matter of time before he awakened. A matter of time before his friends and mate could cry the tears of joy to see his emerald eyes, and not see him in a hospital bed.

Only a matter of time.
