Mekai POV 
3 days later 
I woke up and wanted to go back to sleep. Bad asses had me up all night. 
After forcing myself up I grabbed 2 diapers & the bag of wipes. It's been hard as a bitch doing all this without Sage but it's been worse living with the fact that I cheated on her on my conscious. 
That shit been eating me up and I started dealing with it by smoking & popping percs again. I only do it when I'm alone cause ion want my kids around that. 
"Hey gummy." I laughed as Saint smiled at me. I zipped his onesie up and picked Serene up to change her. 
"Dede good morning." MJ yawned walking in our room. 
"Good morning lil man, whatchu want for breakfast?" I asked sitting on the bed holding the twins. 
"Waffles and ice cream!" He smiled. I laughed and got up going downstairs as he followed.
I sat the twins into their rockers which they're getting too big for and turned it on low.
"Why Sage isn't back home yet? I miss her." He pouted sitting at the island. 
"I told you Sage is at school, you can see her in a few weeks." I shrugged flipping the waffle maker over and grabbing the pint of ice cream out the freezer. 
"I know but I really miss my mommy." He sighed getting down and going into the living room. I did a double take and realized he just called her mommy. 
"What did I do." I mumbled sliding the waffle on the plate and putting 2 scoops of ice cream on top. 
Now he's really getting attached to her and I just broke up with her out of anger, so now he won't even see her that often anymore. I fucked all the way up. 
I would talk to her but I'm not sure if she would even wanna talk to me. And I would understand that but if we gonna be parents she's gotta talk to me at some point.
"Yo food ready lil man." I called out putting his plate and drink on the counter. 
"Lil girl quit looking at me like that." I smacked my lips seeing Serene just staring at me. She poked her bottom lip out and cried like she got stabbed or some. 
"I'm sorry dada baby." I laughed picking her up and laying her on my shoulder. She sniffed and hit the back of my neck. I did not know a one month old could be so strong. 
"Ow damnit!" I hissed rubbing my neck. 
Saint laughed and I gave him a mug. These bad asses too much. 
"Shut up gummy." I joked picking him up as well and going into the living room. I laid out their plush blanket and laid them on their stomach, Sage been telling me to do that. Not sure what it helps though. 
I glanced at my phone and rolled my eyes seeing Kamias name. 
"Hello?" I answered aggravated. 
Sage POV 
I rushed down the hall realizing I was gonna be late for my morning class. I turned the corner and bumped into someone. 
"I'm sorry." I nervously laughed picking up my papers that needed to be turned in. 
"It's alright lil mama." The voice chuckled. I looked up and saw Dorian. 
"Oh Dorian?!" I said surprised. 
"Oh damn it's Sage." He smiled readjusting the papers and books in his hand. His teeth were so perfect with a few diamonds on his canines. 
"This is crazy." I mumbled to myself. 
"Where you rushing to?" He asked raising an eyebrow. 
"I woke up late and missed my second alarm so now I'm running late to my morning class." I said quickly. 
"It's on the other side of the campus? Cause I could drive you." He shrugged. I weighed my options and nodded before stepping in the elevator with him. 
"This is so nice." I smiled looking at his matte black g-wagon. 
"Thanks, I'm not really feeling it no more. Might get a jag." He shrugged as we got in. 
"If you don't mind me asking what kind job do you have?" I asked wondering where he gets all this money from. 
"I own 3 barbershops." He nodded. I nodded and made a mental note of that.
Once we got to the building with my class, we said our byes and I rushed into the classroom.

I sat the chipotle bag on my desk and immediately pulled my laptop out. I had a 10,000 word essay due tomorrow night and there's no way I'm gonna finish in time. I quickly opened up a word doc and got to work. 
About a hour in, my phone started ringing like crazy and I glanced at it seeing a bunch of texts from Miko, Ash, Anita and my mom.
I quickly called my mom back confused and concerned.
"Hello? Mom what's wrong?" I asked getting up and grabbing my hoodie. 
"Sage um.. he's what? Oh my God okay. Mekais in the hospital. He overdosed and now he's in a coma. Baby you need to come back now." She said. 
My eyes got wide and my heart dropped. 
"Okay um- where are my kids?" I asked throwing some sweats on. 
"They're with Anita in the waiting room." She explained. I felt a tear slip down my face as I packed up some of my clothes. 
"Mommy I-what if he dies?" I sniffed stuffing my backpack with my things. I was gonna have to do my classes online for now. 
"He's not gonna die Sage." She sighed. 
"Ok just.. shit just let me know I-if anything happens to him. I'm about to go to the airport." I said fighting back tears and putting her on speaker to buy my plane ticket.
"Alright Sage I love you, please be safe." She said with sadness in her voice. 
"Love you too mom." I said quickly hanging up. 
I grabbed up all my things and went over to the elevator. While I was waiting I called a Uber to take me to the airport. I really wish I didn't quit my job cause I could have a whole car now. Once I got onto the plane, my mind was racing a million miles an hour. Yeah he cheated.. 2 times and I'm not gonna say that's okay. But you can't just stop loving someone so fast. I wouldn't wish death on him but just enough karma that he feels bad, but not this.
"Just pull through Mekai." I mumbled to myself.
