KAJSA TOSSES COLD WATER ON HER FACE, SIGHING DEEPLY. The death of Loki plagued her mind, leaving her crying most of the night. The worse part of his death was their last conversation. For years, she'd done nothing but shower him in love and affection. They never so much as argued, yet the last time they spoke, she broke his heart.

Just as she'd felt betrayed, he did too. She couldn't stop replaying their last moments together. She wished she could tell him that despite his wrongdoings - her love for him would never cease.

She savored the sweet, kind, soft Loki that she knew he still was deep inside.

Wiping her face dry with a towel, she stares in the mirror. She was dressed and ready to go for her first day of training.

Turning her head to the side, Kajsa eyed her bright hair.

Perhaps she needed a change to blend in a little more.

As she ran her fingers through her long locks, her hair changed from silver to jet black. It was a drastic change from what she was used to, but it did make her look more mortal-like.

Putting on her S.H.I.E.L.D baseball cap, she made sure her ears were covered.

A knock on the front door grabs her attention. She looked through the peephole, her gaze locking with Director Fury's eye patch.

Unlocking the door, Kajsa pulls it open.

"Good morning, Director Fury," she lets him inside.

"I hope you don't mind. I thought I'd escort you to your first day of training."

"Oh no, not at all. I appreciate a friendly face."

"How was your first night? I hope the city didn't keep you up."

"Oh, it's all right. I don't sleep much."

"Coulson did mention that."

"Yes, I spent most of my night reading about S.H.I.E.L.D. Fascinating history, the organization has been through a lot."

"You don't know the half," sighed Fury. He squints at her, "you do something different to your hair?"

"I changed the color to blend in. You like it?"

"It's nice, though the white hair does suit you."

Kajsa smiled brightly, "sounds like something my husband would say. He'd never agree with me blending in."

"It's only temporary," Fury reminded her.

"I know. No worries."

"Ready to go?"

"Yes, please, lead the way."
