Y/n's POV

Well, it's a few weeks into this new school year and I'm only now being pushed towards participating in a club. I though I could escape that this year like I have every other.. I guess not but that's alright I guess.

I look at the giant school board full of club posters and I try to find something that looks easy. That means every sports or scholar-esk club is off my list. An anime club.. I'm looking to pass the time, not get bullied (a/n: I literally run a manga club at my school so let me make fun of myself). Art clubs look cool, but I just know all of the popular kids are there since it "doesn't require effort".

That's when I saw the poster for the cooking club. I mean- if I can sit in a room that smells like delicious food all day, then I'm down for that. I wrote down the number of the club leader and went to my next lesson

~*~

I sat under a tree with my headphones in, scrolling through my contacts till I found the new number I had saved.

Y/n: Hey, I saw your poster and I was wondering if you were accepting any new members?

?: Of course! Our club room is on the 1st floor, room XX. Please come after school for a short meeting

C/n's POV

I actually didn't expect anyone to message me about the cooking club. The poster was behind a ton of others so whoever is joining today must really love cooking! Or didn't like any other club.. Well, as long as they join and they stay, I'll be happy.

~*~

I sat in the school cooking room with a teacher, my aunt, "I know each club has a minimum of 4 members, but for you I'll lower it to 2. You're such a hard working student so I really, truly hope this works out for you C/n." She pat my head and walked out the door.

Before she could fully leave tho, I heard a faint "hello" before I saw them.

Y/n's POV

I passed by Miss C/l/n and whispered a hello before entering the room. I just hope there aren't a dozen people, even a few would be good.

I walk in and lower my eyes to the floor, "good afternoon, my name is Y/n". I look up and try not to make eye contact with every- one? One person? And better - or for worse - that one person is C/n.

C/n is in the top set class, but in my form group. They're a model student and everyone knows how they have family in the faculty, but everyone also knows that C/n doesn't use them to their advantage. That C/n is in front of me right now.

C/n's POV

"Thank you so much for joining me Y/n. I didn't know who was it that wanted to join, but I'm glad that it's you" I smiled.

~*~ we had a short meeting about club hours and what we wanted to do ~*~

"Our school festival is in a few months time. I know it's a while away from now, but would you like to help me? I'm guessing this club will be just us this year." I gave a small chuckle and looked away a little. I didn't want them to feel pressured if I looked straight into their eyes.

"Of course! I mean.. I'd love to help you C/n." I gave them a small smile but didn't try to make eye contact - atleast for too long

"Glad to have you on the team Y/n"
C/n smiled at me.

~*~ This has been in my drafts for months so I hope you don't mind me ending this one short ~*~

Me and C/n ran a small stall for our school's festival. No other member's joined so it was hard to handle everything, just us. Our stall was popular though, maybe they didn't know the cooking club existed?

Either way, I got to learn to cook from C/n and made them some foods as well. It was all amazing and I'm so glad I joined this club.
