Omniscient POV 
Day of the gender reveal 
Sage and Mekai both were finally back on good terms with each other. They were officially together again, and Sage trusted him enough to at least try. She got up, pretty much waddling into the bathroom to get dressed up for today. She really wanted girls but Mekai wanted boys. 
She took a shower, washed her face and pulled her hair up preparing to do the makeup that Mekai hated. 
Mekai felt around for his phone which would not stop buzzing. He sat up once he found it and read over the messages almost instantly ruining his day. 
Mom. 
Hey baby 
Me & Al are gonna be there a little late
Why you bringing him. 
I ain't invite his ass.
He's your uncle Mekai 
He has every right to come 
No the hell he doesn't 
If you didn't get a invite you didn't get one for a reason 
He not finna ruin me and my family day 
I understand that Mekai but he's apart of your family as well! 
You the first person to tell me not to talk to him so why would I want him at my gender reveal??
He's coming, so deal with it.
He quickly blacked his phone off already aggravated with today. He walked into the bathroom watching Sage beat her face to perfection, even though he hated it she looked finer than usual. 
"Damn." He smiled wrapping his arms around her waist. 
"Good morning bub." She smiled kissing his cheek. 
"Why you putting all this shit on?" He asked looking at all of the makeup on the counter. 
"Cause I wanna feel pretty today." She shrugged putting on her eyelashes.
"You pretty all the time though." He chuckled slapping her ass. She hissed at how heavy his hands were and threw up the middle finger as he pulled his shirt and boxers off before getting in the shower. 
Sage finished up her hair and makeup before walking into the closet slipping into her pink dress. She glanced at her phone making sure Ash and Miko had everything set up. Everything had to be perfect.
Something caught her eye on Mekais phone but she decided if she trusted him she couldn't go through his phone. 
"Mama you good? I'm nervous as hell." He chuckled walking into the room with just a towel wrapped around his waist. Sage bit her lip looking at the water dripping down his abs and his dreads hanging over his face. 
"Yo." He laughed shaking her. 
"Oh um- yeah I'm really nervous. I want everything to go perfect. Wait are you feeling like Armon or Mekai today?" She asked. Over the last few weeks she's been trying to learn how to help with his MPD. 
"Mekai." He smiled kissing her deeply. This was the first time anyone ever tried to help him with his disorder and he felt for the first time that someone cared. 
"Okay, go get dressed we're gonna be late!" She squealed kissing all over his face. 
At the gender reveal. 
"Ash turn the fucking lights off bitch." Miko said before hanging up with her. 
Mekai and Sage grabbed each other's hands as they walked into the venue. A spotlight shined directly on them as Ash ran over to hug her bestie. 
"Bitch you look so good!" She squealed admiring the high ponytail in her hair and her flawless makeup. 
"Thank you!" Sage smiled looking around at the decorations. She didn't want to have a baby shower cause that was extra stress and things to plan, so she waited to have her gender reveal and made sure that it was perfect. 
"Ooh I want some of these strawberries." She laughed dragging Ash with her to the snack bar. 
Mekai said hey to a few people but was more nervous about his uncle coming in and ruining his gender reveal. 
"Hey baby." Anita smiled walking up to him and giving a hug. 
"Wassup momma." He smiled. He wasn't on the best of terms with her but still obviously loved her. He couldn't bring himself to just dismiss his mom. 
"Al he's over here." She said grabbing Mekais hand and walking over to his uncle. 
Mekai honestly felt like uncle Al was the reason for most of his family issues. He introduced his dad to drug dealing, which resulted in him cheating on his mom. From then everything went downhill. 
"Hey Scar." He smiled showing off his grill giving him a dap. Mekai returned it with a head nod before looking around for Sage. 
"Bub are you- oh hi Anita." She smiled hugging her. 
"Umm this my uncle Al and this my girlfriend Sage." He introduced them. 
"Sage!" MJ squealed running up to them and hugging Sages legs. 
She smiled and picked him up kissing his cheek. 
"I've heard a lot about you, but you sure you wanna have kids with his crazy ass? They might come out all kinds of fuc-" 
"Come on mama." Mekai said grabbing her hand and walking away into the crowd of people. 
"Kelsie!"  She squealed putting MJ down and hugging her cousin. Sage and Kelsie haven't talked in years especially since her parents moved all the way to Maryland. 
"Hi girl!" She smiled looking up and down admiring how grown up her cousin was. 
"Mekai this my cousin Kelsie and this is my boyfriend Mekai." She introduced them. 
Kelsie was a hood rat and out of habit instantly gave Mekai a dap. 
"I like her." He laughed glancing at the door seeing Meijai and his girlfriend Erica walk in holding gift bags. 
"Ima be right back." He said pecking Sages cheek before walking off. 
"My feet hurt like hell." She complained pulling a chair out. 
"Umm there's kind of a situation Sage." Miko said twisting his lips. 
"What happened?" She asked as Ash and Kelsie sat down next to her. 
"Well I told my lil friend Daren to make sure your dad didn't walk in and um.. he kind of did." He said playing with his nails. 
"Oh my God." She sighed rubbing her temple. 
"I got you." Ash and Kelsie said at the same time getting up before walking off. 
"Anyways when are we gonna pop the balloons?" Sage asked rubbing her stomach. 
"They're outside right now, depends when you and Mekai ready." He shrugged looking around. 
"Ooh I wanna do it now!" She smiled getting up and grabbing Mikos arm. Once she found Mekai everyone headed outside.
"Mama you ready?" He asked looking down at her. 
"Yeah I really want 2 girls! They're gonna be so cute!" She squealed picking up one of the pins. 
"On 3, make sure y'all recording." Ash said holding her phone up. 
"3...2...1.." Everyone counted down as Sage and Mekai popped both of the balloons. 
Blue and pink glitter spilled out. 
"Bubba!" She squealed hugging him super tight. 
"Gimme kisses." He smiled grabbing her face and pecking her lips multiple times. 
"Bitch!" Ash and Miko squealed hugging her.
