~The concept of "soulmates" is interesting, isn't it?
Though it has different meaning and interpretations, one things for sure is that it will always involve two people that are destined to be with each other. Romantically or not. No matter what.
Itadori Yuuji.
Someone who has spent his life protecting and following Y/N like no one ever has. The ultimate amount of loyalty he has exchanged with the girl. Whether it be love. Friendship. Or family.
She had spent so much of her life thinking she was the one following him. Standing in his shadow but for him, that was never the case. It was the other way around.
Y/N was someone Itadori had admired for years. Her jujutsu. Her strength. Her personality. Her love. She was really someone who could change you in an instant. The only person who he would take "I would die for you" to another meaning. They understood each other in a way no one else could ever. She stuck by him no matter what happened. She couldn't even stay mad at the fact that he had to hide himself from her for two months. All that matter to them both was that they were together again.
His platonic soulmate.
She was his person.
The person he could truly be himself with. The person who saw all his emotions. The person who's seen his dark side. The person who makes him happiest.
He felt like if he was seperated from her any longer, he might've gone insane.
Any person could see their strong bong. It was greater than anything you could see.
Fushiguro was never in the wrong for thinking these two might have been in love. In another life, they actually could have been.
When it came to actual, intimate love, Itadori knew Fushiguro was the one for his best friend, the only family he had left. He had seen and noticed every little thing Fushiguro had done to ensure the girls saftey before he "died". He had spent late nights texting Kugisaki about it. Seeing the two holding onto each other that night only confirmed Itadori's thought more.
Other boys have never acted the same way Fushiguro does with Y/N. He's gentle with her. Making sure to never push her on edge and listening to everything she has to say. Even if the two argued, they always went back to each other, missing each other's presence.
Fushiguro's actions even surprised Gojo but for Itadori, it wasn't something unexpected. If anyone really got to know the (H/C) haired girl, they would automatically feeling some type of connection.
For Itadori and Inumaki, it was family.
For Kugisaki, Maki and Panda, it was friendship.
For Gojo, he treated her as if she was his own.
As for Fushiguro, it was love.
As a jujutsu sorcerer, Fushiguro almost always saw himself alone, fearing the worst would happen to the person he loved most.
However, in the end, love won. His rocky start with the girl only turned into complete adoration. Even if he knew his connection with her could never compare to what she had with Itadori, he was grateful to have one with her at all.
She is why he wants to be strong. Strong enough so that he can protect the both of them. Itadori. Kugisaki. And anyone else really.
The weird yet creative confession he gave her had already took a huge weight off his shoulders. He didn't take her change of topic to a bad thought. He was letting her take her time and let it sink in, what he had told her.
His romantic soulmate.
And they had all become her family.
