Class 1A were instructed to wake up stupidly early to be able to begin their training. Kira couldn't stop her eyes from closing as Aizawa told them all about what they were going to be doing today.
"Bakugou, look alive." Aizawa tosses him a ball. "Throw this for me."
"Sure," he steps forwards. "Like in the fitness exam."
"Exactly."
"Oh, I get it!" Mina hops on the spot. "We're checking our progress!"
"A lot's happened to us the last three months," Sero adds. "Maybe he can throw it a whole mile now."
Bakugou readies himself, swinging his arm around in circles to warm up. "No one blink!" He shouts at his classmates. "Go to hell!"
The ball travels far over the trees in a huge explosion.
"That was only seven hundred and nine metres," Aizawa tells them, revealing the screen of his detector. "Due to your different experiences, all of you have definitely improved. But, those improvements have mostly been limited to mental prowess and technical skill - with a slight increase of stamina thrown in along the way. As you can see, your Quirk's themselves have not improved much on a fundamental level. That's why we're now going to focus on improving your powers." Aizawa smirks at his students. "This'll be so hard, it'll feel like you're dying. Let's hope you all survive."
They all take turns in throwing the ball to see who's improved the most and Kira remembers back to her fitness test. It feels like years ago now. When it's finally her turn, Kira steps up to the space and quickly glances at her elbow - last time she did this, her elbow shot out her light, completely startling her.
Kira unbuttons her UA shirt, revealing a black tank top underneath and allows her Quirk to light up all the way to her shoulder. She's surprised at the dramatic difference from her old self to now. Kira grunts with the effort as she swings the ball with all her might, shooting light from the entire back of her arm. It chars the ground behind her as she releases the ball, watching it climb higher and higher before finally descending.
"Eight hundred and ninety four," Aizawa says, showing her and the class the result.
"Is that all?" She mutters, grabbing her shirt from the ground and buttoning it back up again.
Before, her score was eight hundred and twenty-one - she was hoping for a better improvement than that. It really feels like she's ten times stronger than she was on that first day at UA. All of her training and competing... what has she really achieved?
Once all the students had a go, Aizawa directed them all to another part of the Training Camp, where different sections have been created for each student to improve themselves independently.
"Todoroki, Bakugou," Aizawa says without hesitation. "Those barrels over there are for the both of you." He then points to a cliffside. "Asui, Jiro - you'll be working over there. Tokoyami, you'll be focusing your Quirk in the caves. Kiriya, go with him."
Each student nods and departs to their section of the Training Camp and Kira jogs to catch up with Tokoyami. They walk around the outside, scaling the steep hill to reach the caves.
"Does this mean everyone knows about you now?" Kira asks him, wondering if it's a sore subject.
"I only told Midoriya and his team about my weakness during the cavalry battle," he answers almost immediately. "I wouldn't be surprised if everyone else figured it out too."
"And you're okay with that?"
"It was going to happen eventually," he says honestly, as they arrive at the cave entrance. "We're all going to be working together for two more years - I'm sure we'll know everything about each other by then."
