It was now Tuesday during last period and although I typically hated school, today luck was in my favor. Luke and I had gotten paired to be partners on our huge Physics project so I was overjoyed. The teacher assigned us to all make a physical and educational representation of a human organ.

"Alright so I was thinking we could base our project on the heart." Luke said looking over at me. I was sitting next to him so I could see every little detail on his face. The perfect band of freckles that trailed along his cheeks and nose. His big brown eyes. His perfect, kissable lips. "Allison?" Luke asked.

I blushed, afraid he might have known what I was thinking. "Sure," I said. He nodded and looked back to his computer.

When the bell rang I packed up my things and walked out of the classroom door. I thought about the fact that in only a few hours Emmett Walker would be coming over to my house. Or I at least thought he was. He hadn't texted me or said anything in school since lunch on Monday. If he forgot about our session I would of course be irritated but at the same time pleased. The downside would be I would have to schedule a makeup session. The upside being I would not have to spend time with him tonight.

Regardless of whether he would end up coming or not, when I got home I went straight to my shower. Although I didn't really smell all that bad I had sweat an extensive amount during my workout at the gym after school. After I dried my hair I picked out some clothes. I settled on a crew neck sweatshirt and some pajama shorts. There was no way I was going to try to dress up for the self- absorbed jerk. I even almost made the decision to not wear a bra out of utter laziness.

Once I had changed I started doing homework. I had gotten through the majority of it when my phone buzzed beside me. I reached over and picked it up.

"Hello?" I heard Emmett's voice ask through the phone.

"Hey." I answered.

"I'm outside." I got up and grabbed my book bag.

"I'm coming," I said as I walked down the stairs. When I opened the door I saw Emmett leaning up against the wall looking down at his phone. Once he registered my presence he looked up and gave me a half smile before standing up. And gosh that half smile almost made me fall over. Or drop to my knees. Ha just kidding. His hair was wet and messy, probably from taking a shower after practice, and he was wearing a hoodie and sweatpants. Gosh he was one good looking douchepants.

"Ali. Are you going to invite me in." Only after I heard his voice did I realize I had just been standing there drooling over his gorgeous face. Luckily he didn't mention it.

"Ha. Are you a vampire?" I replied, making a reference to only one of the greatest tv shows of all time.

"What?" He asked with a puzzled look on his face. I mumbled never mind and stepped back from the doorway. He took the hint and walked inside. He waited for me to lead and I walked into the living room and sat on the couch. He took a seat beside me.

"How was practice?" I asked. He looked over at me, seemingly surprised at my question.

"Fine I guess." He paused. "How was doing what ever you do?" I smiled a little at the vagueness of his question.

"Fine I guess." We both gave eachother small smiles and were accompanied by an awkward silence before I spoke. "So what topic do you want to go over today?" He reached his hand up and scratched his forehead.

"Can we go over math?" He asked as he pulled out his notes.

"Sure." I answered and scooted a little closer so I could see what was in his lap.

After going over math for what seemed like forever, the boy finally began to understand. After I explained his notes to him, he did most of the homework problems with ease. When he got them right after I checked them he had the widest grin on his face. He looked like a little kid who just was given ice cream. It was actually adorable.

After I checked the last problem I looked at my phone and the time was ten thirty. "Do you want to do anything else tonight?" I asked.

"Oh I could think of a couple things." He winked as he answered. I was confused for a second before I got it.

"Oh shut up, I meant to you want to study anything else tonight?"

"No way." He put his papers back in his folder and returned them to his bag. Then he stretched out his arms behind his back and let out a yawn. I couldn't help but admire the way his biceps flexed. "Are you checking me out?" I heard him taunt. Fuck.

"No. I was just looking at the ... walls. I never noticed how gray they were." I said in my most convincing tone. He scoffed.

"The walls?" He looked me straight in the eyes with a huge smirk.

"Crazy how they hold houses together huh?" I stated, trying to refrain from hiding out of embarrassment of probably the lamest excuse ever.

"Oh yeah. Super crazy." He said as he laughed. "You know, you are not that bad actually."

"Wow, what a compliment!" I faked excitement from his statement. He rolled his eyes.

"I didn't mean it that way." He said as he ran a hand through his hair. We were both silent for a moment. "I have a question," he stated.

"Shoot." I answered.

"What's going on with you and Luke?" I looked at him like I was a deer in headlights. "Or is there something going on because ever since he saw us talking he has been so weird to me."

"We're just friends." I said but couldn't help but blush a little. I hoped he didn't notice.

"Oh." He said and leaned back on the couch. "Thank you for tutoring me Ali, it was actually helpful."

"Your welcome but it's still Allison." I stated looking at him.

"I know." He answered looking me straight in the eyes. Nobody spoke for a few moments. "I better get going." I nodded in response and he put his things together and stood up. I followed him to the door.

"Bye," I said as he walked out onto the front porch. He turned around to face me.

"Thursday same time?" He asked. I nodded and gave him a tight smile. "Alright, goodnight Ali." He turned and started walking towards his car. Instead of correcting him for the fourteenth time I gave up.

"Goodnight Emmett."
