Fourth period! Which means lunch is right after. My stomach has been growling forever. I made a turn into another unfamiliar hall and found the room. I came and gave the teacher, Miss Daley, my schedule so she can initial it like the other teachers prior.

Afterwards, she said welcome and allowed me to sit anywhere. I was guessing all the teachers for the Senior class didn't give them assigned seats.

I turned on my heel away from her desk, and saw a dude sitting in the corner near the window. He had red and silver headphones and was bobbing his head to the beat. Clearly he was daydreaming; something that I often found myself doing. I came closer and from what I could hear, it was house music.

I sat down next to him, and he immediately took off his headphones. His hands fidgeted over his stuff to scoot it over a little more to his side. I held my hand up to stop him, "Sorry, don't mind me. I just need somewhere to sit, and back here looked safe."

He chuckled, straightening his now, wrinkled papers, "You're the girl representing California, aren't you?"

"How'd you guess?"

"Your attitude and you took a chance and sat next to me..." He coughed.

"Why would anyone not want to sit next to you?"

He shrugged, "Well..." He cleared his throat, "Anyway, I'm Lawrence, but people call me Lolo."

Now I get it.

"Ah, so you're Lolo."

He scrunched his face up, "You know me?"

"More so. Well, I know your friend Sarah. She helped me out this morning. We have the same first period."

"Oh."

"I'm Skye."

"Nice to meet you."

"Oh look!" Someone boasted, "It's Skylar and Lawrence." It was the blondie that McKenzie girl was holding hands with. He sat on the next row over in front of me and Lolo, "I didn't get a chance to introduce myself earlier. I'm Zach," He pointed to his friend with the brown hair, "This is Sean."

"Hi." Is all I said.

Sean tilted his head, "Welcome to Richmond, Virginia." He smirked.

"Welcoming committee, eh?"

"Damn right." Zach said, "For the spirit of Robinson High." He grinned creepily.

Sean smirked, "You can sit right here if you want." He pointed to a seat across from him, "Away from Bobo over there."

"It's Lolo." Lolo corrected angrily.

I placed my hand on his shoulder, and glared at the two boys, "I'm good."

"Why would you wanna sit next to him?" Zach asked scowling at my new friend.

I shrugged, "Why would someone wanna sit next to either of you?" They stayed silent, "That's what I thought."

"Well, come on. Why would you though? We'd think you'd wanna hang with our kind?" Sean emphasized, "Being a Californian and all. Aren't you guys like all superficial?"

"Yeah, keep digging that hole, dude." I scoffed, "And what do you mean by your kind?"

"Sporty, athletic, good-looking." Zach winked, "Name your pick."

I crossed my arms, "My pick? Okay, lean, shy, talented, intelligent, open-minded... the list goes on. None of which either of you seem to have."

"We're bullfrogs." Sean retorted.
