Sage POV 
Graduation day 
"Sage Bryant." The principal called my name. I smiled running my hands through my hair as I walked up on the stage and shook hands with all my teachers. 
"Alright best friend!" I heard Ash yell from the crowd. 
"You better walk hoe!" Miko yelled after her. I laughed to myself as I walked off the stage. I was so glad to be done with this shit. Once I got my diploma I locked eyes with Mekai who was talking to Jonas sitting next to him. After a few kids got their names called we were on to the Browns. 
"Mekai Brown." The principal called. I smiled and had to hold myself back from clapping. I was so proud of my baby. 
"Dede!" I heard a little voice call out. My entire body stiffened and I slowly turned around seeing a little boy waving in the crowd. He looked to be about 5 years old.
"What in the living fuck.." I mumbled to myself. I swear if this kid is MJ I'm gonna hurt somebody. 
"Bubba." I whispered tapping his chair. 
"Wassup?" He asked turning around. 
"Did you hear that?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
"Heard what.." He chuckled looking at me crazy. 
"Some lil kid just screamed dede when you went across the stage."
He stared at me for a minute then laughed. 
"That pregnancy getting to yo brain. My son ain't here." He said turning around. I crossed my legs and waited for everyone's name to be called. 
"Ashley Garcia." 
"Okay bestie!" I smiled watching her walk. 
"Miko Gray." 
"Do yo shit best friend!" Ash ghetto ass yelled. 
Once the ceremony was over, everyone went outside of the school and was about to leave or go to a party. 
"Dede come here!" The same voice yelled as me and Mekai was about to get in the car. 
"Now you heard that shit I just know it." I said looking around and seeing the same little boy. 
"Yo." He chuckled. 
"Hell nah bruh. I'm leaving." He said getting in the car and slamming the door. I was so fucking confused as to why everyone in this family had a thing for faking deaths. 
I took my gown off putting it in the backseat leaving me in this bodycon black dress. 
"SAGE!" Mekai yelled from the car but I ignored him walking up to the little boy and his who I'm assuming is his mom. 
"Hi." I awkwardly smiled. 
"Hello umm.. d-do I know you?" She asked scratching her arm and face. Oh she doing coke. 
"Well no but I was just a little confused about something." I started. 
"What's your sons name?" I asked looking down at him. He was focused on his lollipop. She pulled me behind a car and looked around like she was crazy. 
"Who sent you?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows. 
"I'm actually Mekais g-girlfriend." I said instantly regretting it.
"Bitch bye. Come on MJ- I mean sweetie." She said grabbing his hand. 
"No no! I wanna see dede!" He pouted crossing his arms. I stood there awkwardly biting my lips.
"You can see dede later. We're going home now!" She said in a stern voice pulling him over to a white Camry. 
I walked as fast as I could in these heels and jumped in the passenger seat. 
"I know that's MJ Mekai!" I said quickly.
"That's not my son Sage. Fuck don't you understand about he's dead? I'm never gon see him again alright? I'm tired of people leaving me and then all of a sudden popping back up. That's not my fucking child!" He yelled with anger in his voice. I took a deep breath and grabbed my gown, purse, phone and slides before getting out the car. 
I didn't wanna deal with his anger today. I needed to be as stress free as possible cause I wasn't about to lose my child again. I walked over to Ash's car and saw her and Jonas talking about whatever. 
"Hey umm, sorry to intrude but me and Mekai just.. not on the best of terms right now. Can I drive back with you Ash?" I asked playing with my nails. 
"Ion mind. Ima call you later baby." He smiled kissing her cheek and walking away. 
"Ohhh so y'all official now?" I smiled getting in the passenger seat.
"I guess so chile." She laughed pulling off. 
"But what happened with you and Mekai? Y'all were just laughing and shit." She added. I sighed before telling her the whole story.
"Bitch please do not worry about him. His family issues shouldn't be the reason you have another miscarriage. If he don't apologize for screaming at you then it is what it is." She shrugged. I nodded and rested my head on the window. 
"Here he is texting me." I scoffed opening the messages.

She just was like "who sent you" and when the little boy asked to see dede she pulled him over to a white Camry.
