So not much drarry nor fighting here, but it's a chapter to well kind of show another side of Harry I suppose, and to finally get our other ship sailing. I mean it's pretty obvious which one
June 21st 1996
Malfoy manor
Harry was looking at the map of grimmauld place when Pansy let herself in and swung herself onto the chair, spinning around.
"What do you want?"
She kicked herself over to where Harry was sitting, stopping just short of colliding with him. She leaned closer and whispered.
"Did you realise something?"
Harry thought for a few seconds, before shaking his head.
"Why?"
She sighed, leaning back, looking very disappointed.
"Theodore, Blaise. Have you not realised?"
Now that she pointed it out there was something wrong with them. They refused to look each other in the eye, didn't talk, and walked far apart.
"What happened?"
Pansy sighed, bending over and putting her elbows on her knees, gesturing Harry to lean over. He did as she wanted, curious to know what happened.
"So when you blanked out, well we were getting Lily out-"
"Is my mum alright?"
She glared at him harshly and Harry zipped his mouth. Ah he forgot Pansy didn't like being interrupted when passing important information.
"Your mum's fine, professor snape looked her over and already made her the antidote. She's in Hogwarts now."
"Oh that's great."
Harry purposely didn't say anything about Pansy calling Lily his mum, he had rejected Jonas and James, but to be honest he did like Lily a lot.
"Ok now as I was saying when we were getting out we were ambushed. Theo was giving your mum first aid to delay the symptoms but a spell got past our defence and nearly hit him."
Harry already knew where this was going.
"It was an avada kedavra?"
Pansy nodded solemnly.
"Blaise stepped in its way and just before it hit him the swords on his bracelet came out and blocked it at the last minute."
Harry sighed. Ah he knew it.
"It was really close, and for some reason Theo looked terrified. Not a normal terrified, it was like he saw his nightmare come true or something."
"And what happened after that?"
"Well..."
The minute they returned to Hogwarts theo pulled Blaise out, seeking privacy in the corridor outside Professor snape's office.
"Why did you do that!"
Blaise looked confused at why theo was so furious. Pansy popped her head out from behind the wall, daphne pushing it back down only for both of them to peek at the two.
"Why did I do what?"
"Protect me! I...I could have defended myself!"
"You were helping mrs potter, and your wand was out of your reach and not to mention you only saw it when it was too close-"
"DONT DO SUCH FOOLISH THINGS!"
Pansy flinched at his shouting. Daphne frowned as she pulled Pansy back a bit so they weren't so inconspicuous.
"DO YOU THINK IF YOU DO RECKLESS THINGS LIKE THIS PEOPLE WOULD LIKE YOU?!"
"IVE NO IDEA WHY YOURE SO ANGRY NOTT I SAVED YOU!"
"AND RISKED YOUR LIFE? ARE YOU AN IDIOT-"
All of a sudden Blaise grabbed theo by the shoulders and Pansy whistled softly when Blaise pulled him into his arms. Daphne sighed as she stood up and walked away.
"Daph?"
Pansy turned her attention back to the two as daphne shut the door quietly. Theo looked shocked, taken aback by the sudden embrace. From her position she could clearly see Blaise breathing hard, a worried look upon his face.
"So what if I'm an idiot? What's wrong with risking your life for the one you love?"
Theo went silent, bowing his head and his bangs concealed the top half of his face as Blaise pulled away, his hands still grabbing Theo by the shoulders.
Pansy cooed, they looked really cute. She wanted to call daphne out to see the adorable moment but she also didn't want to miss a single second of this.
"I love you Theodore nott. I won't hesitate to sacrifice my life for yours."
She fangirled and let out a small squeal, hiding behind the wall again.
However, theo started laughing, it wasn't a normal laugh, it sounded strange, like a mix of reluctance and sadness. He pushed Blaise away, and his eyes were as chilly as cold steel when he looked up.
"You really are a fool Zabini. Don't risk your life for someone who does not return your feelings."
She spun around, hearing those words and gaped when Theo brushed past him, his aura was chillier than the Arctic as he walked past her and the door slammed shut behind him.
She got up immediately, about to chase after him when a hand pulled her back into the storage cabinet.
Pansy turned around to see daphne and was confused since she had clearly walked into a different room.
"Apparition."
"Oh, wait let me go I'm going to give him a piece of my mind-"
Daphne sighed and shook her head.
"Don't."
"Why?!"
"Theo, there's a reason why he did that."
"What reason?"
Daphne smiled and patted her head lightly.
"Don't ask. but despite what he said, he loves Blaise more than anything in this world."
Harry rushed through the hallways, trying to find mr elusive Theo.
"Harry?"
He skidded to a halt, whirling around like a top and slamming a hand against the wall, causing teh other to jolt and nearly drop his book.
"Theo. Dore. Nott."
"Yes?"
"What in merlins beard is with you?"
"Huh?"
Harry chopped him on the head, grabbing his hand and pointing at the bracelet.
"You. Believed this thing?"
Theo blinked a few times confused, before understanding. He bit his lip and turned away, pulling his arm out of Harry's grasp. Harry sighed, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Let me guess, all of blaise's future deaths was because he protected you?"
Judging by how he stiffened and his lip trembled slightly he had gotten a bullseye. He placed a hand to his forehead, exasperated with this guy.
"Oh come on, you know the future isn't set in stone."
"...better safe than sorry."
"You're ruining your present Theo. The future can be changed!"
"Even if it can be changed, it never strays far."
"THEO!"
He may have gone overboard since the other boy nearly fell over from the shock. But he needs to make a point here.
"EVEN IF THAT IS TRUE, THEN ISNT THAT WHAT MAKES THE PRESENT ALL THE MORE PRECIOUS? SNAP OUT OF IT, YOURE NOT ALONE HERE THEO!"
"ENOUGH HARRY!"
Now it was Harry's turn to get shocked when Theo yelled at him. Harry drew a sharp breath when he saw the tears coming down.
"Enough please. It doesn't matter to me if my present is ruined. For me happiness is with him. As long as I know he's safe... that's all I need. Now leave me alone Harry."
Theo shoved Harry aside as he brisk walked away into the guest bedroom, the door slamming hard enough to vibrate the whole corridor.
Harry sighed. Ah he messed up.
"Harry?"
He froze as if someone had pressed the pause button on him.
He turned to the side and Blaise was there, door wide open.
"Wait...you heard the whole thing?"
He nodded and Harry groaned. He forgot that they were on opposite sides of the corridor, and Pansy had informed him that Blaise hadn't really come out of his room.
He looked worse for wear, eye bags and all but he was smiling.
"Is that what he really feels?"
Harry stared for a few seconds before comprehending his question.
"Oh, yes."
Blaise chuckled, leaning against the doorframe.
"Blaise?"
"Harry, did you know that zabinis only truly love one person in their entire life? My mum was different, but I always followed my grandparents. And for me, Theodore was that person. We argued a lot, but I started to like him."
Harry scratched his head awkwardly as Blaise stared at the ceiling, sliding till he was sitting down.
"I think it was around our second to third year that I realised I liked him. And I wondered why out of everyone else I liked him, the guy I argued with. And then I realised why, he was smart, sassy, funny, cool but most of all he cared. He cared so much, and now I really know that I love him."
Harry sat down beside him, listening intently. Great now he missed draco. Where was that dingdong when Harry wanted him.
"Well now that I know he likes me back I think I'll just keep things this way."
"You're not going to push it?"
Blaise smiled, a smile that reached his eyes and it was contentful, happy and satisfied. He shook his head and leaned back.
"He'll come round soon enough. I believe in him."
Harry smiled and patted him on the back.
"Well if you want that day to be sooner don't be so reckless."
He got up and walked back to his room as he heard Blaise cry out.
"But that's my job!"
Harry spun on his wheel looking back as he walked backwards.
"Then don't do your job!"
"Ehhhhhhh?!"
He skipped happily, stopping when he saw daphne leaning against the wall. He shook his head when she waved.
"Good job Harry."
"Seriously daphne why couldn't you do that yourself?"
She punched him lightly, laughing joyfully.
"You can do a better job than me."
That's when Harry realised something in what Pansy told him.
"Wait a second how did you know that Theo would do that?"
She squinted, putting on a thinking face before smiling and raising her bracelet.
"That's my ability, I can sort of read other's emotions and thus guess what they are going to do next."
Harry caught sight of the heart made of leaves on her bracelet and he understood.
"So you saw theo's heart and knew he would reject Blaise?"
He fell into step besides her as they made their way back to Harry's bedroom and for her pansy's to go find her girlfriend.
"Yep! And I can also tell you miss Draco soooo much!"
"Why you!"
Harry playfully chased her around, attempting to hit her but she dodged and they played a game of tag in the corridor.
"You love him!"
"So what if I do?! He's perfect!"
"Right sooo perfect you even dream of him!"
"I don't dream of him!"
"Yes you do! I even see that you asked Marion to make a stuffed toy of him once!"
"What how-"
"I peeked inside your room."
"DAPHNE GREENGRASS!"
"I ALSO KNOW A LOT MORE SECRETS!"
"DAPHNE!!!"
