It was about a thirty-minute ride to Clay and Sapnap's place, so Aria took that opportunity to have a quick nap. She was sitting next to Wil in the van, whilst Clay drove.
She felt her eyelids grow heavy as she rested her head on Wil's shoulder, cuddling his arm. She felt him turn his head slightly towards her in surprise, making her nuzzle her head closer into her chest. Aria began to dream.
Wilbur's POV
Ari has fallen asleep on my shoulder.
How did I get so lucky?
This girl is beautiful. I figured she would be pretty, but when I saw her run up to me at the airport, I couldn't believe it.
Somehow I mustered up the courage to ask her out.
She's the kind of girl you want to write songs about... That's my way of telling you I have an entire notebook of songs about her at home...
But I have to watch out for Clay and Techno. Both seem to have their eye on her. Particularly Clay. Dream and I have never fought over anything before.
Guess there a first time for everything. But she is worth it.
I can see him glaring at me in the mirror.
Clay's POV
I fucking hate Wilbur right now.
Now, I don't usually get like this about women.
But Ri is different.
There is no one else I would rather wake up to every morning.
I wonder whose room she is going to stay in...
Ugh, this prick is smiling at me.
Dickhead.
Back to Aria's POV
Aria woke to Wil lightly tugging on her braid.
"We're here, luv," he whispered gently into her ear.
She yawned and slowly opened her eyes. "Alright, I'm getting up," she mumbled but lay there for a bit longer.
"When you say that, the idea is to move, not snuggle in closer," he said with a chuckle.
"You're very comfortable... and warm," she said with a smile, moving her head so she could look up at him whilst still hugging him.
There was a tap on the window. Karl waved and mouthed 'dinner'.
"Time to go Ari" Wil moved her hair out of her face.
"Mhmm" she murmured.
"Techno will be here soon" he whispered
"Ok, let's go!" She jumped up, grinning
Wil laughed quietly.
They both ran to catch up to Karl.
"Took your time!" he smirked, raising his eyebrows at Wil, who smiled bashfully.
"Ari was sleeping!" Wil defended whilst laughing.
Aria skipped towards the door, which was slightly ajar.
She could see Clay in the kitchen wearing an apron.
Giggling, she ran into the room.
"Clay!" She shouted, enveloping him in a hug.
"Nice to see you awake, Ri!" He propped his head on top of hers.
"I love the apron!"
"It's a new addition," he said quietly.
She chuckled.
The doorbell rang.
Clay turned his head."Let me go get that. Ri, watch the pasta for me please."
Aria stirred the pasta, hearing Clay open the door. She was about to say something to Wil, who was standing in the kitchen with her when she heard the familiar, monotone voice that belonged to the one and only Technoblade himself.
Screw the pasta
She flew to the door and threw herself into Techno's arms.
"Your pig in shining armour has finally arrived!" His deep chuckle echoed across the walls of the house.
He was holding her in the air, hands under her thighs whilst she clutched the back of his neck
She smiled down at him. "I'm so glad you're here!"
"Me too, Ari, me too." He grinned warmly.
"As much as I hate to break up this reunion, we need to let Techno in through the door. Shit, my pasta!" The smell of smoke came wafting through the hallway, sending Clay sprinting to the kitchen.
Techno chuckled. "Alright Ari, let me find my room." He placed her gently on the ground.
"I don't even know where I'm sleeping yet..." Aria murmured.
OH SHIT. She had forgotten that they all had to share rooms.
Who was she going to choose?
