Snowflakes fell slowly from the thick clouds. The gloomy sky was frosty. The young man tossed his hefty knapsack to the ground. He took the brown hood from his head, exposing his shoulder-length blonde hair, which blew in the breeze. He massaged one of his dark blue eyes and cracked his muscular, lean back. He sat his muscular frame down on a log and drank from his water supply. "Excuse me, sir," a quiet voice said. The young man raised his head. He looked at the young woman approaching him with hunger. He noticed that her delicate physique was dressed scantily, which is unusual for this climate. "Are you okay, lady?" he inquired. She gave a feeble nod. "May I sit next to you for a moment?" The man nodded eagerly and moved up. "I'm so glad to meet you, My Lord.."? "Elias" said the boy. "Isobelle" she said. "I've been on the run for almost four days already" she sighed. Elias handed her his last drops of drinking water. She gratefully accepted. "Who are you fleeing from?" "Enemies of my father, the headmaster. He has jewels and gold as high as the waking mountain." Greedy, Elias licked his lips. "Really?" Isobelle nodded. And my father's enemies want to demand ransom for me. Which, of course, he would pay. Would you? Help me? I promise that when you bring me home safely, my father will reward you generously. Four bags of gold?" Elias nodded hurriedly. "I agree," he said. Isobelle smiled. "Thank you, my lord," she said.
"Oh," Isobelle grunted as she glanced at the approaching knight. "Is that one of your enemies?" Elias inquired. Isobelle gave a nod. "It's him. He wants to claim seven gold bags for me." "Seven bags," Elias groaned. Elias had a scowl on his face. "Forgive me, lady, but I am quite greedy when it comes to gold," he admitted and grabbed her. "I won't kill her if you share," he yelled violently. Hate smiled.
"Really now," he joked, his gaze fixed on Isobelle's bright eyes. "Forgive me, lady," Elias said again, returning his gaze to the woman in his arms. She did not object, much to his astonishment. She also did not appear to be afraid. Frowning, he returned his gaze to Hate, who, to his astonishment, seemed abruptly closed. "Are you like that." Hate asked quietly before ruthlessly grabbing Elias by the throat. Elias coughed and glanced at Isobelle, who walked quietly past Hate. She kissed his cheek and walked away from the duo. "What?" Elias exclaimed in amazement. "What about my gold?" "Oh, I've got something much better for you," Hate laughed as he bit the boy's neck open.
