Days dragged on slowly as you got closer and closer to your due date. The bigger your bump grew, the less you wanted to do things, so there were many relaxed evenings for the three of you (though it wasn't much different than normal). Maggie, being a near replica of her father, copied everything he did, which meant that there were so many times they were both pressed against your stomach, feeling your little boy kick while they talked to him. And as soon as Maggie went to bed, Tom continued on. Or, at the very least, kept his hand securely over his little boy while the two of you talked about what life was going to look like after your little one arrived.
"He's gonna be sleeping in our room for a while, but what are we gonna do when he needs his own room?" you asked Tom one evening as you sat together on the couch.
"We'll just have to get a bigger house, I guess," he smiled, thumb tracing soft shapes against your thigh.
Your eyes lifted to meet his, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips, "You want to buy a house together?"
Tom snorted, shaking his head with a smile, "Don't be ridiculous, love. I want everything with you, Y/N. I want our babies, I want a house, I want a wedding... I want it all."
Your heart fluttered in your chest, knowing that Tom had thought about this stuff and that he really did want an entire life with you. It still caught you by surprise, sometimes, when you thought about just how much your life had changed. And when you thought about it, there was no one else you'd rather have this life with.
Even though your heart was nearly bursting with love, you still had to tease him a little, "Babies? Plural? You think I'm gonna pop any more out? And a wedding? You're not proposing right now, are you?"
A slightly panicked look took over Tom's face, "What? No, I-I didn't mean—"
"Tom, baby, I'm kidding," you giggled, reaching up to cup his cheeks in your hands, "I'd definitely have more babies, as long as they're with you. And I can't wait to get married to you. One day. I want it all, too."
You'd never had these kinds of conversations about life with Isaac. Never once had you heard him suggest buying a house, or even getting married someday, even if that someday was far in the future. And in any circumstance in which it came up, he immediately dismissed it. You'd always wondered if he had even really wanted a life with you. So any time you thought about it, it blew your mind to think about how long it took you to realize that you were in love with Tom. If Isaac had been right about anything, and you never wanted to admit that he was, it was Tom. Even if you hadn't known it at the time. It had always been him.
Breathing out a sigh of relief, Tom laughed, "Thank god. That would've been awkward, if not."
"Shut up, idiot, I'm pregnant with your child."
"Have I thanked you recently? For, ya know, carrying our child. And told you how much I love you? Because I do. A lot," Tom grinned, showering your face with kisses as you gestured to your very pregnant stomach.
"Mm, only every other minute," you laughed in response, "but I wouldn't mind hearing it again, since my entire body aches and he's constantly pressing on my bladder."
Tom gave you a sympathetic smile, "Well, I love you, and I appreciate you so much. And I know it's not easy, but we're so close to meeting him."
"It can't come soon enough," you sighed.

On a rare afternoon where Tom was done with work early for the day, the three of you decided to head out and run some errands, with the promise of a stop at the park for Maggie. Of course, you could run errands by yourself, but it was much more enjoyable when you had your two favorite people with you. Not to mention, there was something — someone — else on your mind, but you weren't sure how to handle it.
