Rushing to the garage of Khepri's apartment complex Winter and he climb into their separate cars.
"I'm so glad you decided to wear that jacket."
I didn't really have a choice now did I, Khepri?!" 
Smiling Winter readjusts the three quarter length sleeve midnight blue, magenta, and gold paisley print lightweight blazer. It matches her outfit perfectly and looks stunning on her.
"I love you baby, see you in a little bit."
"Oh, Pri?"
"Yes mama?"
"It's not at the office, it's at 'Flesh' so it's even closer, Lav switched it and covered for us. Said we were waiting there because of a miscommunication."
"Damn, she's a bomb ass friend!"
"Yeah she really is." Closing her door, Winter peels out the parking lot. Taking the ten minute ride to talk with Hathor.
"Hathor?"
"Yes, my little beautiful sunflower."
"What's going on?"
"Meaning?"
"How was Anubis able to mark me? How were you able to mark him? You never marked Laurent or Âme!"
"Well my little sunflower it's quite simple actually, the first Egyptain God is known as Atum. We are all descendants of him. He didn't want us lonely so he created other gods and goddesses. Me being one and Anubis being another. I met Anubuis and we fell in love. We've done many many reincarnations together. He is my first true love. I love him to my very core. He is my Earth bound soulmate."
"But Âme is your soulmate?"
"Yes and no my little one. Âme's and my essences are kindred flames. You can not have one without the other. Just like Marguerite explained to you when you first met her. You cannot have good without bad. Love without hate, light without dark. Happiness without sadness. As you know I am the Mother of the Earth. Of love, life, light, fertility, and sex. But my Âme is the creator of darkness, death, void of love, and a destroyer of procreation. He is the yin to my yang. So to speak. I love him far beyond any Earthly entanglement, but I know the heartache, hurt, pain, and destruction that comes along with loving him. What you have experienced loving Laurent is a prime example."
"Wow. But how are they both my soulmates."
"Well here lies the conundrum for your life, my little beautiful sunflower. I have never, ever in all my millennia of life been reincarnated and discovered both my loves. Some lifetimes it was Âme others it was Anubis. I have been without Âme for two hundred years because my last two and a half reincarnations have been spent with that delicious Anubis."

"No my little date honey, it's the way Atum designed the Egyptian Gods. We reincarnate to bring goodness to the world, but when we feel we have done enough for human kind we have the option to not reincarnate anymore. Many of us have chosen not to because they feel that humankind is a lost cause. Myself and wonderful Anubis feel the opposite. That's why we've had so many lifetimes together."
"But I'm not doing anything magnificent. And I mean Khepri is. Saving other supernaturals with his amazing testing and helping humans find jobs other than feeding contracts. How am I helping your legacy?"
"Oh my sunflower, you are an amazing addition to my legacy. You have made the humans feel safe in a world overrun with supernaturals. You protect them, fight for them. And have made so many changes in that big respected company to benefit humans. I truly couldn't be more proud to have reincarnated in you. You are an amazing woman, wife, mother, and bodymate Winter. Plus without your reincarnation I would have never experienced both my amazing lovers in one lifetime." Hathor hums and her voice floats on a river of arousal.
