"Infiltrate the league of villains, they said," Hawks muttered as he marched through the rain "It'll be easy, they said," He spat.

The heavy downpour was only being blocked by the man's wings, him using them as an umbrella over his head.

A month ago, he'd been invited to a meeting at the Hero Commission. Upon having arrived, he learnt of the plans to sneak into the League to gather more information. Apparently he, the Number 3 hero, was perfect for the job.

He'd thought about refusing but these people had entire control over his life. They'd asked but he didn't have a choice in the answer.

And now here he was, making his way to their hideout, still unsure of how exactly to make his way in without being caught out. Not only that, but TRUDGING THROUGH THE POURING RAIN.

Eh, he'd trained to do this kind of thing his entire life and he was good at it - he was - but the fact that this was so dangerous nerved him.

Calling himself a brilliant actor wasn't entirely false, but upholding the act was his weaker point yet probably the most important. He'd be fucked if he slipped up once.

The villains weren't stupid no matter how much he tried to convince himself otherwise - it was only their morals that were. Still, he was partially confident he could carry out the job but that didn't mean he wasn't anxious about it.

Shrugging as he thought to himself, his eyes were trained on the path. The potholes were filling up with rain water, creating deeper puddles than you'd expect until you've stepped in and it's up to your ankles.

He sighed, cut off as he butted head-first onto a stranger. Dammit. He should've kept his eyes up.

"Sorry," He apologised, eyes widening when he realised he was far too close to the abandoned warehouse for a civilian to be out here. Slowly, he lifted his head and swallowed thickly when he was met with a pair of blue eyes. They seemed to glow in some way, azures swirling together around his contracted pupils.

The more he looked, the more familiar he seemed. And not because he was Dabi... no... there was more to it. He didn't know him from his villainy, it was something else...

Dabi's smile was sly as his eyes flickered down, scanning the heroes outfit.
"A hero?" He questioned with a cocked eyebrow. Hawks was about to answer with a 'yes' before Dabi's flames lit suddenly.
"Wait- Wait-," He panicked, holding his hands out "I'm not here on bad terms,"
The man's flames simmered, sizzling when the rain hit his skin as he tilted his head to the side "Then what are you here for?"
"I want to join the Leag- Ah!" He was cut off when Dabi took a hold of his clothing, dragging him along toward the building.

When the door swung open, he was thrown inside, stumbling for a few steps before he stood face to face with a man he could only recognise as Shigaraki.

His skin was as broken as pictured in a photo he'd seen, eyes a blood red that seemed to hold pain.

'Pain? He'd caused that to others. No point in feeling sympathy.'

Right.

"My, did the cat drag in a little bird?" He inquired, a greedy tone to his voice.

Everyone knew who Hawks was. He was the youngest hero to ever reach the Hero Billboard Top 10. He was world famous, so it's not like they didn't know who he was.

"A pro-hero?" Toga asked excitedly from one of the leather couches, eyes dripping with a mix of hunger and confusion. Hawks rocked on his heels, glancing around the room at each of the different members.

Perhaps he could take them all out now?

'No, that's stupid. You'd be killed in an instant.'

The warehouse was sort of cold, the pattering of rain on the thin, metal roof fairly loud. It would've been soothing if he wasn't surrounded by the League right now.

The winged hero felt a presence behind him shortly, then hot breath against his ear "Drop the act, pretty boy,"
Peaking over his shoulder, he met Dabi's stern blue pools.

Hawks grumbled, taking this as a chance to 'drop the act' and bring out a new one. Blinking, he allowed the light from his eyes to fade slightly, giving them a glassy look. His emotions fizzled out as commanded, expression falling flat of feeling.

"Don't call me that, Dabi," Hawks muttered as he went to throw himself down on the couch. The villains watched as he did so, Toga twirling the knife in her palm.
"There it is," Shigaraki grinned sadistically "Why are you here, Pro-Hero Hawks?"

He sunk comfortably into the furniture "I'll start off with the obvious. I hate the system, it's entirely unjust."
"But you're a part of it," The man interjected in a judging manner.
"Mm," Hawks hummed in agreement.
The man furrowed his brows, trying to understand where he was coming from, also trying to determine whether he was here for an attack.

"You are a hero, you uphold the system," He elaborated and Hawks smirked in reply.
"And that's where it's a benefit,"

Unintentionally, the man's eyes followed Dabi as he walked across the room to sit down in a chair in the corner. His sapphire eyes had no problem in piercing his own golden irises, the said blades of blue as sharp as thin ice.

The black-haired man seemed to revel in the view of the blonde, pulling his bottom lip in slightly as his sight wandered. One hand rested on his thigh while the other elbow rested on the arm of the chair. Black hair almost fell over his electric blue orbs, almost making him seem even more mysterious.

"A benefit? Tell me more, i'm intrigued," Shigaraki squinted his eyes in curiosity, voice cracking as he spoke.
Hawks cleared his throat and tore his sight away from the man sat in the corner, bringing Shigaraki into view instead "I can get inside information, know when and where to test attacks without getting caught and so on,"
The other only hummed, crossing his arms as he thought.

"How do i know that the opposite is not what you're here for? Are you working for the heroes?"
"I don't think the heroes commission would send a Number 3 hero. That would make it a bit less believable, don't you think?" He quirked a brow, a small, unnoticeable smile crawling onto his face when Shigaraki seemed to buy it.

He scratched at the rough skin on his neck, deep in thought. He was most likely considering all the possible circumstances, anything that could go wrong, anything that seemed off.

"In the case that you were here in dishonesty and betrayed us... you're aware of the consequences?" He tilted his head threateningly.
Hawks nodded, well aware of the danger he was in "I have a good idea of them, yes,"

The grey-haired man's hand dropped to his side "Very well, then... but you understand why we have to keep a close eye on you for a while, don't you?"
"Yep, seems fair enough,"

He couldn't help but look over to Dabi again. Why was he so intriguing? And why did he want to be absolutely railed into next year? And, why does him being a villain make him so much more attractive?

When the villain saw him staring, a smirk crept onto his lips. The blonde snapped his eyes away, shifting in his chair out of nervousness. His heart was pounding, the sound of heavy beats in his ears.

Glancing over to him once more, he was already being stared down. It was like when a predator hunts it's prey, eyeing it up before taking it down.

"Dabi, give him a tour," Shigaraki commanded.
When he replied, his voice was grumbly yet simultaneously smooth like honey. It was almost unbearably alluring "Yes sir,"
