Macabre's POV

I jumped out of bed and immediately got ready for the day, you know, feed the dog, take a shower, get dressed, brush your teeth, put on your weaponry, and brush your hair.

I opened the door and let my dog, Ador out. Don't judge his name, I named him six years ago, when I was seven. His last name is Able. Slade wanted me to give him a middle name, but I refused, so we compromised on a dash.

I walked into the kitchen and saw Slade sitting there, reading a news paper with his cup of coffee.

"Sup, Dad?" I asked as I grabbed a zip lock bag of yesterday's pancakes out of the fridge.

"The Light is continuously failing to apprehend the mini Justice League. It's very amusing." He said.

I laughed. The sidekicks have been messing with the Light's plans, of course, we are just mercenaries, so it's not our problem. The Light keeps trying to hire Dad to kill them, but he doesn't kill children without being attacked first.

Maybe I'll come across them someday and carry out the bounty, but until then, I care just as little as Dad.

I popped the pancakes out of the microwave and ripped a piece off. I looked at Dad and sure enough, he was still focused on the paper, so I discreetly dropped the small piece to Ador.

I grinned when he said nothing and poured a bunch of delicious love onto my pancakes. Then I sat at the table and took a bite.

"I told you to stop giving the dog human food." He said, not looking up.

"And I told you that 'the dog' has a name. Use it."

He smirked and put the newspaper down.

I raised an eyebrow and put a rebellious and seriously oversized chunk of pancake in my mouth.

He glared at me for a moment seriously before laughing.

"You have a contract today. Central city, so watch out for the Flash." He explained.

"Yeah yeah, I know. Kill the guy and leave, no fighting red speedsters." I said, trying to mimic his voice.

He rolled his eyes, "I left the information on your bike, better do this quickly so we can still go to the store and take the- Ador, for a walk."

"I know. I'll get going when I finish this extremely unhealthy food. Have a good day." I hugged him and grabbed the plate before walking off to the door.

"Hey, dad?" I asked, turning around. "Can I take Ador with me again?"

"Why? It's Central City, not Metropolis and we're taking him to the park later." He asked.

"I don't know, I just wanted to hang out. Nevermind, see you later!" I turned around and shoved the rest of the pancakes into my mouth.

I walked into the garage and threw away my plate before hopping on my bike. A letter was on the top and I put the address into the GPS before taking off.

About 30 minutes later, I arrived in Central City at the destination. I climbed a fire escape and sat on the opposite building with a gun drawn.

I scanned the street for my target, this was his work building, and it was rush hour, so I knew he should be here soon, but if he didn't come, I might not make it back before rush hour.

Something caught my eye and I turned to the side and saw a black haired boy in a green jacket sitting by himself. Oh, must have been not-

OH HOLY PANCAKES ON A GOLDEN STAKE!!
