The path to finals

                                    

                                          
Ash woke up as the day started, he felt Serena's head resting on his left shoulder, he looked down with a grin, seeing that Serena was taking her time to wake up, "wake up Serena," Ash whispered into his girlfriend's ear but to no avail, "I will be making breakfast soon," Ash tried again but still a failed attempt to get Serena to wake up.
                          
"No mom, I want to sleep in," Serena confessed sleepily.
                          
It was then that Ash came up with a bright idea, well not so bright as it would make Serena angry at him, 'I guess I better pull my trump card,' Ash thought trying to hold back his laughter, "no Dawn don't kiss me…." Ash pleaded to no one in particular and trying his best to act at the same time.
                          
Serena shot to see what was going on, only to find that Dawn wasn't in the room, Ash bursting into laughter at the response of Serena, "Ash, one of these days I am going to get my payback on you," Serena decreed with a frown, she sat up and crossed her arms, she turned her gaze towards the alarm clock to see what the time was, "oh no my battle is over an hour away," Serena panicked as she leapt out of her bed in her lilac sleepwear.
                          
"Still cannot believe you fell for that," Ash teased his girlfriend still laughing at his girlfriend for falling for the playful prank.
                          
Not taking a moment to hesitate Serena grabbed the nearest pillow and lobbed it at the more experienced trainers head, "that should teach you to laugh at me after such a tasteless joke," Serena sat up and spun around and leapt out of the bed, she walked towards the entrance of the room, making her way to the kitchen. Serena looked over ot the television set as it was playing the next round of battles for the day, she quickly turned to the cooking area which was connected to the living area, seeing Dawn preparing breakfast for herself and her friends, "good morning Dawn," Serena greeted her friend, letting out a gentle yawn, taking a stretch not wanting to take her gaze away from the exciting battle that was happing on the screen.
                          
"Serena, is Ash awake yet?" Dawn asked her friend calmly.
                          
"You mean that jerk who makes stupid jokes?" Serena asked as she turned her head away and crossing her arms in disapproval.
                          
Dawn laughed a little knowing that her friend went to sleep late the previous night, 'it was their fault for having such a late night,' Dawn thought to herself, but she knew it wasn't any of her business, so she held back from asking why they had a late night. "can you get Ash out of bed, his breakfast will be ready in a moment," Dawn requested her friend to help her out.
                          
"Oh I will get him out of bed alright," Serena replied with a cheeky smile, Serena tiptoed towards the room and peered in, to find that Ash was back asleep, "why you hypocrite," Serena clenched her fists angrily, she stalked Ash ready to wake him up, silently getting closer, she leant down on the bed until she was face to face with Ash, "hey, Dawn is giving your breakfast to Paul," Serena whispered into Ash's left ear.
                          
Ash jumped up and ran out of bed still in his boxer shorts, "Dawn, don't give my breakfast to Paul!" Ash panicked as he rushed towards the dining area of the appartment.
                          
Dawn turned around to find Ash entering the dining room, still only wearing his boxer shorts, Dawn placed her hands over her mouth to hide a small trickle of blood coming from her nose, "Ash you idiot put some clothes on!" Dawn yelled at Ash, only to hear the burst of laughter coing from the room rushed out of, "Paul isn't even here, so there is no need to worry about your breakfast," Dawn announced to her friend, she turned away feeling her heart racing again, 'damn you both, rubbing it in like this,' Dawn blamed Ash and Serena for her minor nosebleed and the racing of her heart.
