Seokjin.

After hours and hours of thinking and tossing, I eventually fall asleep in the early hours of the morning, but even that is quickly interrupted by the sound of little pattering feet, rustling of sheets, before a weight settles on my chest. I don't even get time to open my eyes before little fingers are on my face, squishing my cheeks, and cold air is blown my direction. At least he thought about brushing first...

"Appa, wake up." He soothingly whispers close to me, but then proceeds to shift on my chest where he is straddling, fingers running over my eyebrow, then tugging lightly at my ear lobes. I groan, trying to roll over to my side, wanting to have a few more hours of sleep, but he doesn't seem to think so as he leans even closer, breathing on my face, "Appa, wake up!" He whispers once more, rather cheery, and I slowly open my eyes, a bit confused at the change in mood.

It was only last night that he was crying, mad at me, unable to stand me. Last night he only wanted Jungkook, so I am a bit skeptical at the smile, and the brightness that adorns his face, the one I haven't seen in weeks. Or maybe he's only trying to be excited before he asks for Jungkook -just saying, I wouldn't be surprised.

I peer at him, raising a brow at his dimpled smile, his dark eyes reminding me so much of his father. He scrunches up his nose cutely, his little palm smoothing over the creases on my forehead, a lot like I do to him when he makes a face, and I can't resist the gentle surprised smile that takes my lips.

"It's too early baby, do you need something?" Well, he does need breakfast, supervision, care, attention, but oh well, wouldn't hurt to try, right?
He offers me another smile, jumping slightly, his weight on my chest making me groan a second time.

"I made you breakfast." He chirps, and this time I actually choke out, going into a slight coughing fit at the words. No, no he can't make breakfast, we agreed he's not allowed to touch anything in the kitchen, not equipment, or appliances, he could get hurt, burned, cut, anything could happen...

"What?" I shriek out, attempting to sit up, while he only sits patched, riding down my body to rest on my lap when I actually manage to get fully awake. "What did you do, you know your not allowed to play in the kitchen." I scold, feeling some type of way about him being exposed like that. The kitchen is some place I don't like him to be, especially knowing the dangers that might be lurking from every corner. I am used to an extra set of eyes that watches over him while I am busy, and I think I am yet to get used to the idea that it's only us now, but either way it's no excuse to have left him unattended like that.

"I wasn't playing, I promise..." He's quick to correct, almost like he's read my thoughts, and although I can tell he's telling the truth, I still raise a brow, still taken back that he went and did things in the kitchen by himself. Sighing at my expression, he gets off my lap, jumping off the bed and onto his feet. I follow with my eyes, and catch sight of the plastic tray on the dresser that I hadn't noticed before.

"Your favourite cereal was in the low cabinet, and I took milk from the fridge, and the juice, and the apple too. I took the utensils from the cabinet as well. I was careful, and I promise I didn't make a mess." For a second I stare perplexed, confused, then surprised at him, the maturity yet the innocence he displays.

There is a bowl of cereal dowsed in milk, my favourite cereal, and a glass of orange juice, plus an apple, and did he really just make me breakfast? It's mixed and jumbled, and the weirdest combination ever, but still food nonetheless...

He carefully places it on the bed, before climbing back up to sit with me, his eyes looking up into mine expectantly. I am used to Jeonghan surprising me every now and then but these past few weeks have been trouble for us, and he hasn't been himself, let alone be happy around me, so this does come as a definite surprise.
