Chapter 13: Meeting Crystal the Unicorn

                                    

                                          
The rays from the sun had caused Runa to move her left arm up to shield her eyes from the daylight he saw on her left. This also forced her eyes closed and then, she felt more tears escaping from her eyes. She thought crying was not an option and she didn't want anyone else to see her cry. Well, except for Shadow, her adoptive family and her five chao friends when they're alone. And most recently, Blaze the Cat.
                          
Runa had a one-day hangout with Blaze after the day they — along with Sonic and his friends — celebrated Thanksgiving. During the whole day, the two girls talked a lot about themselves, but Runa only talked about her life after being taken by Aleyah and her family and before she met Shadow in person on her last birthday party. Then, she showed Blaze the private place in the park because she thought of her as the secret keeper. There, she opened up more about herself. Even before she got taken in. Then, the last thing she opened up to her about... was the one certain fact about herself and Shadow.
                          
But Blaze wasn't here. She's possibly in another dimension with a few others.
                          
Now, as she shielded her eyes from the daylight, that same arm that moved up wiped her tears quickly, but carefully just to not let others suspect something wrong with her.
                          
As she kept shielding her eyes while wiping her tears, a gentle, soft-spoken voice rang in everyone's ears. "Hello."
                          
Her eyes fluttered open to see a silhouette approaching her. Her mind told her to shield her eyes again, but her gut told her to see the features of this silhouette before her.
                          
A few steps later, a figure made an appearance. She was a sky blue unicorn with that same color in her muzzle, but it had an even lighter shade than her skin color. She also had blue eyes with navy blue mane and tail. Her mane had a hairstyle of downward ponytail while her tail was braided.
She wore a navy blue cape and hood with blue classic sleeveless dress that laid up until the middle of her legs. She also wore blue boots with light blue soles.
                          
Runa then, slowly lowered her right arm down as she heard the unicorn introducing herself.
"Welcome to Mystic World. My name is Crystal the Unicorn and I humbly come before you, a simple, kind-hearted and welcoming person."
                          
"Are you born as a royal?" they heard Omega asking her.
                          
A soft gasp escaped her mouth. "How did you know?"
                          
"I scanned the details of the crystals inside the cave," said Omega.
                          
"Omega told us unicorns are children of kings and queens. Same to the pegasi. And those kings and queens are alicorns," added Shadow.
                          
"That's nice of you to know. What are your names?"
                          
Shadow was quite shocked on the inside by the sound of her voice and how kind, warm and polite she was. An image of Maria appeared in his perspective. To this end, because of this, he'll treat her like a sister once he gets to know her.
                          
"I'm Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog," he introduced himself.
                          
"I am E-123 Omega."
                          
Runa moved her fingers to her chest as she introduced herself as well, "I'm Runa the Hedgehog—" Then, she gestured to each of her five chao friends. "—and these are my chao friends: Rosy, Mystico, Bearace, Juniper and last but certainly not least, Shania."
                          
"Aww, they're so cute! It's nice to meet you guys!" Crystal said delicately.
                          
"Chao-chao-chao," said Rosy.
                          
"Rosy said, 'It's nice to meet you too, Crystal," Runa translated.
                          
Crystal's eyes widened a bit at Runa's words that were brought up all of a sudden. She was seen covering her mouth with her four left fingers. "You know how to translate them?"
