Chapter 1: An Unexpected Visitor

                                    

                                          
It's been a week since Sonic and the gang had went through tough times and everything seems... peaceful. Birds flew through the blue skies with clouds available in the atmosphere. The winds blew through the rustling leaves in the trees. As for everyone living in this world, they're having a great time.
                          
Runa had finally found her real purpose in life. She continued being in touch with G.U.N., her five chao friends — Rosy, Mystico, Juniper, Bearace and Shania — Rouge, Omega and especially Shadow. He's the reason why Runa was brought into this world.
                          
Destinee had realized at the end of her latest case that sometimes, having fun is not so bad after all. But that doesn't mean everyday is always fun. There are times when fun hurts people's feelings especially when you make fun of someone. Right now, she was doing her usual routine with the Chaotix along with training to be a skilled ninja with her boyfriend, Espio.
                          
Aleyah and Silver were finally official together. Partially because they both have things in common. The biggest thing they have in common was that they're both from the future. This is due to Aleyah's parents born from the future 183 years from now. Currently, they were travelling through time and work together to save their future.
                          
In the following events, the others were having a normal day.
                          
Cream was outside her house hanging around with Amy and her chao pets named Cheese and Chocola with Gemerl watching them in the front yard and Vanilla smiling at the scene in the window. Sonic was relaxing under the tree. Blaze was in her dimension doing her duties as the royal princess and at the same time, as the guardian of the Sol Emeralds. Marine was making herself at home in her own pirate ship. Knuckles was guarding the Master Emerald.
                          
Yup. Everything was perfect. Except for one thing.
Right now, there were four days before Sonic's birthday party. Yup! That's right! In a few days, we'll celebrate the certain blue blur's birthday party. Not only that, but Eggman wanted to have some honor too because he said that his birthday is the same day as Sonic's.
                          
In one of his bases sat the mad doctor himself. He was seen watching how Sonic and the gang were living peacefully and happily. A faint growl is heard from him as he watched them on the screens in front of him. Right before him is the two-part desk used for his plans to conquer the world. On his left side lays the controls while on the other side is nothing but a plain blank desk.
                          
Right now, Orbot floated on Eggman's right side of his chair. He was seen holding a mug of coffee to give to him for breakfast. Following him is Cubot carrying a tray with waffles on the plate.
Orbot attempts to hand Eggman the mug of coffee, "Hey, boss. Breakfast is ser—"
                          
It was cut off by Eggman's fists banging on the desk. This causes the mug to be thrown in  mid-air for at least three centimeters. Orbot managed to catch it by the handle. When he looks at how much it still has coffee, it's already halfway until all the liquid is drained from the cup. As for Cubot... well, let's just say the elements of Eggman's breakfast is scattered on the floor.
                          
Now, Eggman's fists landed on a space provided for his other manual works on his desk. He can be seen with an angry expression on his face. He then, turned to his two robot henchmen with that same expression. "Now, you've done it. Go clean up this mess! After that, make me breakfast again!"
                          
A shuddering fear in a voice is heard from Orbot, "R-Right away, boss." 
                          
"Uh-huh," replied Cubot.
                          
That's when the two robots went over to retrieve the broom, dustpan and the wiping rug for cleaning off the liquid on the floor. And while they're retrieving those things, Eggman continued watching how everyone was living peacefully.
                          
"Gaargh! Now, how am I supposed to defeat that hedgehog before constructing Eggman Empire?!" he asked himself. "It's almost my birthday and I still haven't figured out how to defeat Sonic!"
                          
He then laid his back against his chair as he facepalmed and thought of things to himself.
                          
"If only there was someone capable of defeating Sonic and making all honor and credit to me instead of him."
                          
Soon, Orbot and Cubot came back with the cleaning materials. But there's someone else behind the two robots. This person was wearing the black hood with a cape covering his body. He was seen carrying a tray containing a remade waffles along with coffee beside it.
                          
Cubot's voice had caught Eggman's attention, "Hey, boss! We got a visitor!"
                          
His head whipped around in Cubot's direction, then his eyes looked for the visitor. "What?! Who is it?!"
                          
Then, his eyes landed on a black-hooded person holding up a tray of waffles with coffee alongside it.
                          
"Apparently, we don't need to remake your favorite breakfast," said Orbot.
                          
The two henchmen started cleaning up the mess they just started earlier. The black-hooded person walked on the right side of the chair and served him breakfast. Eggman's mad expression turned into a delightful one at the sight of his favorite breakfast meal: waffles.
                          
"Mmm! Guess the visitor isn't so bad after all," he says rubbing his hands in delight.
                          
He then, reached his knife and fork on the tray and began eating the waffles. In the middle of eating breakfast, a deep manly raspy voice is heard from the black-hooded person.
                          
"I may have a way for you to defeat Sonic and his friends."
                          
His head turned to him just as he swallowed his mouth full. "You do?"
                          
"Why yes, I do. I have the scepter capable of erasing memories. Even fragmentary ones. Maybe if I use it to erase everyone's memories of Sonic and his friends..."
                          
"Ooh, I like this one! So, when do we start?" Eggman asks him.
                          
"Right now," he replies, then an evil laugh escaped his mouth followed by Eggman's signature evil laugh.
