"Take deep breaths," He said, running his hand up and down your back in a soothing manner. "It'll be okay, I promise. You'll get the hang of it once you're up there."
Today was the play you had been practicing for for months and you were very nervous. There was a lot of pressure on you since you were the main lead. Daniel was trying to calm you down after you had a panic attack and it was safe to say you were freaking out.
"You feeling better now?" He asked.
"A bit," You lied and he gave you a stern look.
"You know, you don't have to do this. There's an understudy for a reason-" He said but you cut him off.
"No, I really want to do this. How will I gain enough confidence to have an acting carrer if I don't do this?" You asked.
He was quiet. He knew how much your future acting career meant to you. It was everything you had dreamed about since you were little and you didn't want this little inconvenience get in your way.
"Ok, good luck," He smiled, kissing the side of your head.
"Thank you," You smiled and walked on stage.
"Okay team, are you ready?" The director asked and you all answered 'yes'.
The curtain drew up and the play began.
"I knew you could do it! You were amazing!" Daniel exclaimed when the play was done.
"Thank you," You grinned, giving him a hug.
You knew from then on that you would always have him there with you either to be your hype man or your voice of reason.
