The castle wasn't the same without you there, the once lively castle full of events returned to it's gloomy nature. Out of all the daughters, Cassandra was affected the worse. She returned to her darkest place. She lost Moira, and now she lost you. Cassandra, once lively and always having a sassy remark to give turned to a quiet and listless woman who often found herself in the courtyard to pay respects. Alcina paid close attention to this, seeing that the funeral was tomorrow.
When your funeral was held, Alcina felt too much guilt to even face your side of the family. She watched from one of the windows, Eclipse bringing her a cup of tea. "You should go out there and talk to them." Eclipse spoke softly. Alcina shook her head, taking a deep breath. "I can't. I have no right to speak to their family, not after all I did." Alcina spoke softly, your ring hanging from her neck on a beautiful chain. "I think they'll feel better if they have closure. After all, you are, well... Were (Y/N)'s wife." Eclipse reasoned. "Just go out there. They're you're family too." Alcina looked over at Eclipse after feeling a small shove. She gave a soft sigh of shame and headed outside, wearing the robe you got her on her birthday to stay warm. I have no right to be talking to any of you, you don't deserve to see the woman who stole the life of your child, Alcina didn't make eye contact, but felt your mother gently place a hand on her arm to try and soothe the pain in Alcina's heart.
Leading your funeral was Daniela, your best friend gently wiping away tears as they fell. "(Y/N) was a loving spouse and a devoted parent. They came into our lives after a tragedy, offering love and support. My first encounter with them was unbridled kindness. How they met their end was with that same unbridled kindness and same love." Daniela whimpered out, forcing herself off the stage as she broke down into tears. Alcina felt your mother push her to the front of the funeral. "You knew them very well." She whispered. I killed them, I shouldn't be up here!
Alcina saw everyone staring at her. A couple of people gave dirty looks, but Alcina was just like everyone else. Grieving. "When I met (Y/N), I was grieving over a person I deeply cared about, and then they showed up. I offered them a place to stay for the night, but when my brother, Heisenberg," Alcina gestured to her well dressed brother, who kept Rosemary near, "found their bag, my daughters said (Y/N) was newly hired and left their bag. Then, we fell in love." Alcina began, feeling tears well up in her eyes. I have so many memories of you, my love. I don't know if I can get through this. "We shared our first kiss in the morning, cuddling with each other. They gave up their leg to help me fight Mother Miranda. Our marriage..." Alcina choked back a sob, gently placing a hand over your ring. "I will never marry again." Alcina promised, placing a bundle of flowers on your grave.
As she stepped away from the stand, she felt her tears run down her cheeks as she quietly sobbed while going back inside. Your mother followed after her, offering comfort. Please, I should be comforting you because of what I did. Alcina sat down by the fireplace, sighing deeply. "Please, you shouldn't be comforting me." Alcina whimpered out, holding her head in her hands. "Alcina, please. You're my daughter-in-law and I forgive you for what happened. My husband may never be as forgiving, but I understood (Y/N) well enough that I know they wouldn't want you to grieve and hate yourself for what happened. They loved you so much." Your mother explained softly, giving her a hug.
Alcina leaned into your mother's hug, sobbing and hugging her tightly. My own guilt killed you. I can't let this happen again.
