{Sorin's POV}

Beep
I groan in annoyance before groggily reaching for my phone and throwing it across the room. I'm sick of this sh*t. Getting up at 4 freaking 30 every morning only to have my ass handed to me by Caspian. I want to beat him up so bad, it infuriates me every time he pins me to the ground. I get out of bed and get changed into my workout gear. I walk out of my room and glance over at Aspen's door. I creep my way over and reach for the handle.
"Don't do it, Sorin."
I whip my head back to see Rhys, Aspen's new guard. He's a good guy, in fact I helped pick him out. He's only following orders which I respect him for, I just don't respect the orders. I take my hand away from the handle and walk away without another word.
I walk to the gym, taking my time, just to get on Caspian's nerves a little. When I make it to the doorway I find him stretching on a yoga mat. I walk up to him.
"Took you long enough." He says while getting up and walking towards the boxing ring.
"Lets just get this over with." I grumble, following him into the ring.
Caspian gets into position and I follow his lead. It's basically impossible to read him in a fight, he's mastered the blank face. You can hardly even predict his moves. I make the first move, taking a step forward and throwing a punch, which he easily dodges and returns the punch. I duck and move to the side, throwing a punch to his ribcage. Caspian stumbles a little before quickly collecting himself and nailing me straight in the face. I reach up to my face and feel the blood streaming down my nose.
"That all you got brother?" Caspian mocks.
Out of rage, I charge at him, catching him off guard and throwing multiple punches to his face. He recovers from the shock and pushes me away, getting a good few hits to my torso. With the close proximity, I grab hold of his shoulders and bring my knee up to his stomach which frustratingly enough, he catches and pushes me over. I fall to the ground and Caspian approaches me. Before he can make another move, I catch him off guard by using my leg to trip him and send him to his knees. I quickly get up and tackle Caspian to the ground, pinning him down.
"I'm impressed." He says breathlessly. "You've actually improved."
"F*ck you." I say, getting up more aggressively than needed.
I'm angry that his words brought me a faint bit of happiness. I'm angry that I crave my older brother's approval. I'm angry that my older brother has to be such an ass.
"Go clean up your face and be back in 5. We'll do strength training next." Caspian says before taking a sip from his water bottle.
I follow Caspian's orders and return to the gym. After another 2 hours of various exercises and training, he finally lets me go. Covered in sweat, I grab my water bottle and flip a towel over my shoulder. Before I make it to the door, Caspian catches my attention.
"You know I had to do it Sorin." He says.
"You didn't have to make the punishment so bad." I reply.
