You know, they say you never know when your life is going to be over and they were absolutely right. The ending of my parents' marriage was never predicted but the sex going on above us, screamed it was damn over. Aiden put down his bottle of water and ran towards our dad.
"Hey dad!" He intentionally screamed on top of his voice. I knew this wasn't going to prevent anything. Something bad was going to happen and we were in no capacity to stop it. "Uhm... grandpa asked me to come over with you when you get back."
"Stop kidding. I just came from your grandpa's house. How was the teen vacation?" He asked and I sighed. That vacation was the most fun, awesome, confusing and heartbreaking experience of my life.
"It was... great." Aiden answered and he looked back at me.
"Let me change first. I'm tired." Aiden nodded to him and he took the first step on the stairs. He took the second step and he just stopped. At least, he recognized his wife's moan. Yay! My dad turned to us and I saw him grit his teeth and make a fist.
"Dad," I said. Something was definitely stopping him from going in there. He was raking through his hair and letting out heavy sighs. He didn't have to say it, we knew his exact feeling. His facial expressions, the little movements he was making all proved he was damn hurt.
After minutes of sighing, the door to their room opened and my mom stepped out in a robe. This was such a bad day to come back home. If Aiden had let us stay one more day as I asked, we would've missed this awkwardness and the fight after. My dad walked closer to her and he just stared at her. He smirked at her and pushed her away from the doorway. He walked into the room and my mom got in too.
"Should we get out of here?" Aiden asked. I shook my head at him and he sighed. "It's burning in here."
"I feel that." I answered.
"I mean, it's not like you two are still together." The man who was fucking my mom said in the room. Aiden took a seat in the couch and I heard him scream into it. Nothing has ever felt this awkward before.
"I would love to come with you but we still have things to talk about." My mom said in there. I was nervously pacing in the room.
"Obviously." My dad also said and I could hear him fuming with rage. The door opened again and the man came out of the room. He was quite good-looking features but that was besides the point, doing this with a married woman was so fucking wrong. I was frowning at him as he walked down and he was smiling at me.
"Ava," he said and reached out his hand to me. "I'm Asher, it's nice to see you all again."
"You've got to be kidding me!" Aiden stood up angrily from the chair and I had to stop him from coming further. "You should leave."
"I am actually. We'll definitely see each other again." He smiled at us and walked out of the house. I walked to the stairs, planning on stopping them from killing each other if their yells got worse. The room was silent and I took few more steps closer.
