"Fuck no," I wake up to the sound of kai pacing my room cursing through his phone, he waits for a second as someone on the other end of the phone begins speaking. 
He begins chuckling deeply before speaking again. "Civilized dinner? Don't make me laugh, you're far from civilized." 
"For fucks sake, Fine." He roared through the phone before hanging up and just standing there for a moment catching his breath." 
"Kai is everything alright," I ask slowly sitting up and his head snaps back to me before walking over. 
"Shit did I wake you up, sorry." He sits down on the bed next to me. 
I shake my head and scoot closer to his shaking my head. "It's okay," I rest my head on his shoulder before I speak again. "Why are you awake?"
"My fucking uncle, the one I told you about, he invited us to dinner at his house Friday night." He rolls his eyes and it reminds me of how he used to always roll his eyes when we first met. 
"We'll do you want to go?" I ask looking up at him. 
"Fuck no, but of course the boss gets everything he fucking wants," He grabs my hand interlocking our fingers and gently rubbing his thumb against my own, he looks up at me before speaking. "You don't have to come if you don't want to." He speaks softly. 
"I don't want to, I don't. But I won't let you go without me, so yes I'll come with you," I smile up at him and he returns the smile slightly. "And I can finally give your uncle a piece of my mind."I hold up a first with my free hand and he chuckles. 
I squeeze his hand in mines and we just sit there for a few minutes in complete and comfortable silence, I glanced over at the clock on my nightstand to see that it was only three in the morning. 
I groan and flip back into bed. "your uncle couldn't call you somewhere near daytime? Now I won't be able to go back to sleep." 
He rolls his eyes and flops down next to me, he looks over at me and I look at him, my heart starts racing. "Then don't." He shrugs. 
Now I roll my eyes and stare up at the ceiling before I turn to face kai. "Wanna watch a movie or something?" 
He stays quiet for a second before shrugging and getting out of bed, grabbing my hand he pulls me up. "Let's get some food first." 
"At three in the morning?" I deadpan. 
"No, next week." He retorted sarcastically and I roll my eyes. 
I pull on some sweat pants and a hoodie and Kai puts his clothes back on before grabbing my hand and walking me outside to his car. 
"You're lucky I don't have to work today." I look up at him and he just chuckles before opening the car door and letting me in. 
After today Ms bell is going to have me working like crazy for all the time I've missed. I have to work every day this week until Friday. 
He gets in on his side and starts driving. "There's a 24-hour grocery store not too far from here." He says and I nod, I rest my head on the window and look outside the window. 
I rest one hand on my head and the other on my lap, the car ride was silent all I could hear was Kai's engine and the wind.
I lift my head and look over at kai, one hand on the wheel and the other sitting between us, I turn on his radio so it isn't as quiet before I lay my head back on the window. 
I keep my gaze on Kai this time, feeling my gaze he glances at me and raises an eyebrow at me. I just shake my head before averting my gaze. 
After a second I look back and my eyes trail to his hand resting between us, without putting much thought into it I snake my hand in his.
