Take Your Time

                                    

                                          
Just like that I felt the bastion of peace and security once more. All of those wary feelings, gone, disappeared, for the time being.

Breath in, breath out. 
                          
A knock came to the door. I didn't say anything, I didn't feel right anymore.
                          
"I'm coming in." A sweet voice said while the door creaked open. Of course it was Tohru. "I brought you some food, in case you were hungry, so I'm glad you're awake!"
                          
How can she always keep that amazing smile so vibrant, she puts on a face I just know it.
                          
"Here you go." She placed a tray down on the bed, it had cold Somen in ice and the special sauce... just like before, when we first met. It brought a smile to my face.
                          
"Thank you." I replied. No matter how much I thought about what had happened, I always know that she's here for me.

Tohru, Yuki, and I went out for errands. I felt happy once more, it's a great feeling honestly, being around people that care for you and you do the same.
                          
As we walked home, I felt a few raindrops hit my head and hands.
                          
"Must be raining, it might start to pour, let's go under there." I said pointing to this walk entrance that had a roof on it. 
                          
We stood there as the rain became heavier, then lighter. It didn't last too long.
                          
Yuki stuck his hand out, "Looks like the rain's dying down." He pulled his hand back in. "But let's wait here a little longer."
                          
"Kay!" Tohru said, then looking back to the sky in front of us.
                          
"So, um, finals are coming up." Yuki stated.
                          
"Wow, really? It's been that long already?" I said looking to Yuki, Tohru was of course in the middle.
                          
"Oh! Uh, yeah." Tohru said.
                          
"Why don't you and Yuki study buddy again like last time." I said nudging Tohru's arm with mine.
                          
"No, no, we don't have to. I'm not going to force him to do something so out of his way!" Tohru said hesitating.
                          
"Take a joke every once and a while, Strawberry." I said and she stopped freaking out and sighed.
                          
"But I almost forgot! Before that, we have student council elections!" Tohru said turning her head straight forward again.
                          
"Yeah." Yuki said with a sigh.
                          
"Seems like little ol' Blueberry wants nothing to do with it." I replied with a small giggle.
                          
"From what I understand, President Takei wants you to take his place after he graduates." Tohru looked to Yuki.
                          
"That bastard, pressuring the Prince." I said shaking my head.
                          
"Like Y/n said, it doesn't seem like you want to." Tohru continued.
                          
"No, I wouldn't at all." He said tilting his head with a sigh.
                          
"Well then I'll take your place. Not that I want to be president, but maybe being apart of it isn't such a bad idea." I said with a smile at Yuki.
                          
"Look! It's tapered off enough, we should be able to go!" Tohru said looking out to the sky once more. "You guy's ready?"
                          
"Sure." I said walking out.
                          
"Oh hey, Y/n... oh and Yuki." Hatsuharu said coming to us.
                          
"Hey Coconut." I said in reply.
                          
"Oh good you're talking. I won't mention too much but I'm glad you're ok."
                          
"Hatsuharu?" Tohru said confused.
                          
"Why are you out? It's raining." I said looking at him dripping with water as he held a blanket in his hands. Tohru took out a handkerchief and wiped his face.
                          
"I've been searching." He started in reply. "For her. It took a while."
                          
He pulled the blanket back to show a sleeping tiger kitten.
                          
"Aw! What a cute little kitty!" Tohru said.
                          
I placed an arm on her shoulder. "Tohru, Tohru, Tohru. That's no kitten, that's a Tiger."
                          
"This is Kisa Sohma. Careful, her teeth are sharp." The cow said.
                          
"Oh wow!" Strawberry started. "I didn't expect to run into the zodiac tiger spirit today! It's nice to meet you! I'm Tohru Honda, can I-."
                          
And... there she goes, she placed her hand right into Kisa's mouth, accidentally of course, but it was tremendously funny. What was she expecting from a scared tiger?
                          
As she started falling back I went over to catch her but I just laid underneath her to break the fall, of course it caused me to transform. The quickest thing I thought of was the rat, so boom. Since Tohru didn't fall into me until the last minute, her fall broke and she didn't get hurt too bad. Just the hand bite.
                          
"I'm so sorry, Y/n!" She said sitting up.
                          
"Don't mention it, quick reflexes I guess, heh." I said.
                          
I crawled up Hatsuharu and sat next to Kisa, who seemed ok with me being up there with her as we walked back to the house.
                          
"Oh dear, you got nibbled on?" Shigure said to Tohru once we got back.
                          
"I'll be back." I said leaving the room and heading upstairs to Tohru's room, still in rat form. I transformed and came back down after changing.
                          
Hatsu was wrapping Tohru's hand up. "I should've expected it."
                          
"Kisa come and apologize." Yuki said as he sat at the table.
                          
"No! She doesn't need to, I'm fine really!" Tohru exclaimed.
                          
I placed a hand on Yuki's head and looked down at him as he looked up towards me.
                          
I looked over to Kisa who hid herself in the corner of the room. "Look, Kisa, I may not know you or know what your going through, but I'm here for you. In fact, we all are, so just calm down and be nice." I said with a warm smile.
                          
"Well, it wouldn't work anyways." Shigure said looking over to me and Yuki. "She doesn't talk."
                          
"Really?" I said as Yuki said 'What?'
                          
"Kisa can't talk." Hatsuharu said finishing up the bandage on Tohru's hand. "She stopped altogether, shortly after she joined middle school. She's mute."
                          
Was Hatsu worried about that happening to me, is that why he worried so much after I didn't talk to him?
