Swimming.

Yes... one of my more improved abilities. I wouldn't say that I am certain to be the best girl in our class, but I am confident enough to say that I am one of the best.

Ever since as a child, swimming has been a natural affinity for me. The ability to traverse your body underwater has always been a skill that I am proud to show off. Over time, my speed improved as well as my technique, although not as good as the swimming club aces of my past school, its safe to say that I am superior to an above average person in terms of swimming.

As a group, our class walked towards the indoor swimming pool for first years. Around me, nervous excitement filled the air. The girls were, naturally, apprehensive about showing of skin to the guys. The guys however....

"Oh man, Yamauchi! Oh man! It's time! It's time!"

"Yes yes yes yes! Ike! Finally! After all this time!"

"Oi Sudo! Stop smirking! It's creepy!"

"Shut up! Sotomura! I ain't smiling!"

Haa.... yikes.

I heard the girls thanking Ayanokouji-kun earlier about stopping them from recording the class. If I wasn't so irritated about them flaunting their assets in front of my friend, I would've done the same as well.

Honestly, these guys are the worst of the worst. Why did I have to be put in Class D again?

I look to my side and see the relaxed face of Ayanokouji-kun.

Well... it's not so bad, I could live with this.

Without looking in my direction, he said;

"Horikita, be careful of Sotomura."

"Yeah yeah. You've already told me this for a few times now, Ayanokouji-kun. Besides, I'm sure they won't bare their fangs now if after you threatened them earlier."

"I did no such thing. I only reminded them of the consequences of their act. It's basically a crime, after all."

"Whatever you say, Ice King."

"Tch."

I can't help but smile as I see his reaction to the dreaded nickname. Ever since the fight with Nii-san, the nickname stuck like flex tape on a boat. His apathetic face as well as his aura earned him the title.

I have to say, pretty fitting for the likes of him. Except for me, he's been ice cold to anyone that dares approach him, almost always getting in his nerves when somebody points out his lack of expression or, in some instances, my attitude towards other people.

Because of this, most of our classmates gave up trying to befriend him, befriend us, after the first week of classes. I don't know if I should be mad or sad about that.

I do know that I am exceedingly happy about it, though.

Maybe because I'm the only one who talks to him that I'm called the Ice Queen? I mean, surely, my attitude isn't that cold, right?

Right?

Don't answer that.

Ice Queen and Ice King, pretty cringe names, to be honest. I have no clue who started it. I mean, what even is a 'Koenji'?

He glanced at me, before looking back towards the direction we were walking on.

"Smile all you want, Ice Queen. You're basically in the same boat as me."

"Har har."

If it's you I'm stuck with, I wouldn't necessarily mind.
