Ariana and I posed for some photos together. Soon, Kevin untied me and threw Ariana into the shower.
"Your time to shine," He told her.
"W-what are you doing with these photos?" She asked him.
He rolled his eyes and gave her a heinous look before backhanding her into the shower wall.
"Don't worry about it," He said pulling her up and putting the water on her face to wash away the blood. "No give me your best shots," He replied.
My heart sank as I watched Ariana pose for the photos with her bravest face. Though she was visibly uncomfortable.

If I had to bet I would say that Ari regretted coming down here just as much as I did. Not just coming here but the fact that we were so young and stupid about it. No one knew who we were here. No one knew where we were. He colored both of our hair so we looked different at first glance. He had stripped both of us of our identities.
"Come on, try harder. Make it look like you at least want to be here," He ordered Ariana.
I could tell she was having a hard time. It was horrible to watch as he yelled at her, called her names, degraded her, and threatened her with violence. No human being deserved this. I wouldn't even treat an animal with this much disrespect.
Soon the photos were done. Kevin zip tied both of us to the shower rod.
"Now, I'll be back. I'm a gentleman ladies so I'll be going to get you some clean clothes. Better not be no funny business by the time I get back," He said with a diplomatic face, as if the bastard thought he was doing us a favor.

We both watched in silence as he left until we heard no more footsteps.
"I'm so sorry D," Ariana said.
I looked up at her as I began to cry. I was a strong girl but I couldn't lie, I was scared. I had no idea what was going on. I didn't know if we would make it out of this dead or alive.
"Me too," I replied fighting back my tears.
I was done giving him the satisfaction.

"I never meant for this to happen," Ariana said. "She set us up," She admitted.
"Who?" I asked her.
She looked down.
"Liz," She replied.
"How do you know?" I asked her.
She bit her lip.
"I met her when we were in juvie. She was arrested for running away. She told me about something like this happening to her but," She paused as she looked down in tears. "I never imagined she would let it happen to someone else," she said.
"It's not your fault Ari. This is some horror movie shit. There's no way either of us could've known this would happen," I told her trying to console her.
She nodded.
"We've got to find a way out of here," I said.
"There isn't one," She replied.
I bit my lip.
"Well," I said quietly.
"Well?" She questioned.
"Have you been in his bedroom yet?" I asked her.
She shook her head.
"There's a fire escape," I told her.
Her eyes widened.
"Is that where you've been?" She asked me.
I nodded my head.
"I notice he falls asleep around 5 AM," She told me."Should we try it?"
I looked at her in the eyes.
"If we don't, I don't think we'll ever go home," I told her.
She nodded understandingly. I'm glad we were both on the same page.
I felt a rush of anxiety as we began to chat and make a detailed plan for our escape that night. I didn't know if it was going to work but I knew I needed to try if I ever wanted to see my family, friends, or the man I loved ever again.
