Chapter 30 Felix's shortcut

                                    

                                          
Ricardo's P.O.V.
                          
Ricardo was looking up at the sky he could tell a storm was well on the way.
"Hhmmm looks like we're ganna get a storm."
Zeta laughed "a thunderstorm such a pretty sight to see."
"We'll need to take cover this one it isn't going to be veary pretty.." 
"Oh yea? How so?" He asked then
Ricardo pointed at the clouds "theres a big chance we'll be faceing an F5 tornado.." 
Zeta again laughed "heheh like we're scared of a little wind." Ricardo got frustrated.
"No you fool! Those are very deadly they move at a speed of 318 miles per hour and they are powerful it can uproot trees!" Ruth suddenly looked scared "do you know for sure that theres going to be one?" Ricardo diped his head "theres an undergroubd tunnle... we need to reach it we'll be safe there."
Ruth now looked scared "what about Ryker?!"
"Thats were i need your help.. I wouldn't want the boy to get sucked up or my curse would be forever gon... i need you to go fetch them."
Her tail drooped "i can't do that! What about Denny? He'll surely kill me!"
"Your fast i wouldn't worry im sure it's nothing you can't handle..."
(I could care less if he kills you as long as i get my curse is all i care.)
Ruth looked mad but didn't say anything as she sped off. 
                          
Anthony's P.O.V.
                          
The winds started picking up rapidly as the small group kepted traveling on Anthony began geting more and more anxious with every step. He glanced up at the clouds as it started down pouring. (I don't know how... but somehow i can just tell something really bad is gonna happen if we don't get out of this storm...) "DENNY!" Anthony was broken from his thoughts as Jennifer screamed out his fathers name "we need to take cover!" But to his surprise the vaporeon seemed a bit ignorant about it. "Denny?... did you hear me?!" The vaporeon kepted walking on through the rain then nuged Felix roughly in the side "hey stay on your paws! Your leading remember?!" Ava hissed "Denny! The rain is making him weak what do you expect?" Denny lashed his tail showing his frustration. "well if he can't keep up then thats his own problem we're not stoping we need to reach that rock!" Anthony felted like those words struck him like the lighting that flashed in the morning sky.
*boom*
The whole forest lit up for a few secounds before turning dark. (He's useing this weather as an opportunity to leave Felix behind...)
Anthony got mad as he watched Felix shake out his fluffy furr "Denny is right! We need to reach the passage way! We'll be safe there!" Denny looked at him with surprise in his purple eyes and a hint of annoyance on his face Anthony pinnd his ears back as it became obvious to him what the vaporeon's main goal was in this storm.
"Very well fluffy... lead the way." He said in a cool tone as he kepted his vioce clam Anthony gritted his teeth together. (I mean i hate the flareon to... but to ditch him behind in the storm?.... Thats curl.... We would be leaveing him for dead.)
Felix stumbled a bit then took the lead once more "come on! No time to waste!" He took off in a run and the others ran after him Ryker looked worried "the rain is weakening him!" He called out "what if he dosn't make it?"
Denny didn't answer then Ava yelled "we carry him if he passes out."
"Umm no we carry Kyle and the lycanroc is a bit heavier then Felix is." Denny pointed out Kyle looked puzzled "what?.. im good heh i think i can make it." Ava was looking worried as she looked at the flareon who was cleary struggleing with the rain to keep his body temperature up, he snezzed and shivered a little.
"We got to help keep him shelter from the rain!" Ava screeched as she ran up to him trying to sheld him from the rain.
Denny looked a bit impatiant "Ava theres no time for that!" She glared at him then sudddnly thunder rumbled in the sky and Jennifer screeched "Denny!... those clouds..." 
"Hu?" Feeling both puzzled and concernd everymon turnd to look at the clouds. Anthony felted like his heart was beating so rapidly he thought it would pound right out of his chest. "Everymon clam down.. it's just a few funnle clouds.." 
"No we need to find cover and fast!" Jennifer shouted suddenly the strom got more intense and Ella started crying Jennifer picked up the little eevee by her scruff then glared at the vaporeon and muttered "Denny.... If we continue without cover we'll die.... Ella will die.."
"Not on my watch... Jen i need you to trust me... im not going to let it come to that..."
Ava nodded "i think it's very important that we find this passaged way..." Denny turnd to the leafeon "....yea sure.."
Anthony could tell his father wasn't fully convinced these underground tunnles would be safe. Ryker whimpered as they continued through the pouring rain, then Felix began dashing through with everyone at his heals everyone was beginning to fall behind. Anthony was keeping up with them as he found himself runing alongside
 his dad with Felix ony a few pawsteps ahead of them. Anthony began panting a bit as he grew tired then felted panik as lighting crashed hitting a tree very close to them.
*crack!*
Everymon yelled in shock or panik as it began to tower over towards them crashing down. Anthony froze in shock unable to take his eyes off of it as the whole thing came crashing down on him "LOOK OUT!" Felix dived at him immediately koncking him out of the way in time. Anthony felted shock as he felted it hit the ground very close to him. 
(Felix saved me just now...)
"ANTHONY!" Everymon ran to them, then Denny helped him back up inspecting him a bit. "Anthony are you alright?" He nodded "yea..."
"You need to more carful..." his father said in a annoyed tone. Then Anthony felted alarmed as he turnd to Felix.
"FELIX?!" The flareon was ok as he got up "heh im fine rain hasn't washed me out yet.."
"No... but you did use your Energy just now.." Denny stated sitting beside the tree with his tail stitting in his front paws. Anthony felted puzzled as he looked at his father's unreadable gaze. (shouldn't he be greatful?... that tree could have crushed me..) Jennifer and Ryker both huged him. Anthony felted annoyed then herd Ava hiss "whats the matter with you?... he just saved your son what more do you want?"
The vaporeon sat up getting to his paws.
"Felix..... where is this shortcut?" He asked sounding a bit hostile. Anthony began to feel a bit unsettled.
"...well it's a bit difficult to find with all this rain but it most certainly is an underground tunnle..." the vaporeon raised an eye brow.
Then Ava hissed "whats your problem Denny?!"
"My problem is that i don't trust this flareon here...."
"Denny theres no time for this!"
"You mean for him... he's passing out.."
Felix shook out his fur then started padding off again "come on!" He called and once again they all continued to follow runing through the storm. Then suddenly Anthony got a strong overwhelming feeling and then Ava suddenly gasped out loud then Jennifer shouted in fear. 
Everymon stoped looking confused as Jennifer looked horrified.
"What?" Denny asked then she pointed with her paw towards a huge tornado that was in the distance. Felix yelled out "hurry everyone!" 
They all began runing then the flareon fell from exhaustion to the forest floor. Ava looked scared as Denny got mad and grabbed the flareon by his scruff and started drageing him away towards a more sheltered spot. "Felix!" Denny found a spot under a tree to help shield him from the rain. "You better not be lying about this shortcut... where is it?"
Felix only groggily looked at Denny then fell on his side the vaporeon stood over top of him "Ava! Hurry heal him back up!"
"Ohhhh so now suddenly you care if he faints."
The winds started picking up and Anthony stared in shock as the huged tornado was moveing closer and closer. Jennifer began shakeing from fear "umm guys.."
"Not now Jennifer." Denny replied cleary irritated as Ava used a few orn berrys that were close by. "Thank arceus we have these."
Felix ate a few then sat back up lighting flashed and Anthony yelped as he saw an all to familiar silhouette of a liepard (Ruth!) Denny's eyes widened a bit as he stared he saw it to "did anyone els see that just now?"
"See what?" Ava asked then Jennifer yelled "DENNY!  It's comeing our way!"
Denny turnd to look then looked a bit worried.
"Come on guys it's close by we can make it!" Felix called and again everyone followed him then finally the flareon gave a happy bounce "found it!! I told you i wasn't makeing it up."
They all paused to look what stood before them. There was a staircase made of stone that led underground Anthony stared in awe "...there really is one... he didn't make it up.." he said out loud but before anyone could enter Denny got in the way "oh no... we're not going in there!" Anthony pinnd his ears back then Ava hissed "why not! We'll be safe in there you idiot! What you'd rather stay out in this deadly storm?" Kyle looked at Denny "sorry Denny but she's right you know if we don't go in we're pretty much dead." Denny lashed his tail "don't you get it?! This could be some sort of trap!" Then he peeked inside "it's completely dark in there! We'd never see it comeing."
Kyle frownd "ummm Anthony could light the way." Denny snorted "and what if Recadro is waiting at the end?.. then what?" Jennifer who was carrying Ella snarled "well like it or not Denny im not staying out in this storm!"
As she tryed to walk by, Denny stoped her. "Jennifer please... will you listen to me?" Then Felix cut in before she could say something.
"Denny i know your scared and have trust issues... but i swear on my life this is just a shortcut... nothing more..."Denny held the flareon's gaze "why should i trust you?"
Felix looked tacken aback by that "look you just got to... please if you stay out here you'll surely die.."
Anthony felted stunnd as he could see a new look in Denny's purple gaze one that he had  seen only once before. (The time when he took me into that cave for the curse... he's scared... is Denny scared of closed spaces or something?)
Ava brushed up close to him. "are you scared?" Denny shook his head looking embarrassed. "ehh.. no.." then everymone went in quick wanting to get out of the storm, Denny was the last he paused by the entrance. Anthony paused to look back at him
"Are you comeing?"
Denny hesitated looking nervous. Ryker nuged Him "come on hurry!"
Then he grumbled "ok... this better not be a trap... or i'll make you regret we ever met Felix." The flareon only laughed "come on now it's only a dark tunnle theres nothing to fear."
"IM NOT SCRED!" As Denny shouted the walls vibrated and a few stones crumbled down. Ava glared at him "ok... you need to not yell.."
Now Denny looked more nervous as he steped inside the tunnle padding down the stairs with everymon els. Anthony's blue rings illuminated. As they walked into the darkness getting deeper he could hear Ava "awwww why is this so cute?.... "
"Don't call me cute..."
"I can tell that your scared..." Jennifer began to giggle a bit "Relax Denny evan i can tell your on edge." 
"Do you hear yourself Jennifer? We are blindly following a stranger down a tunnle we never entered before to take us who knows were.. and..." 
"And what?" She asked sounding annoyed
"What if we don't reach the other side? you saw what it did back there.."
"What after you yelled?" Ava questiond
"What if it collapse on us?.. this tunnle seems old" Then Felix answered him "well thats because it is old... but don't worry i'v been down here lots of times Denny we're not ganna get crushed down here." Ryker seemed pretty clam about it. "We're safer down here then we are up there... im sure we'll reach the end."
Anthony was now starting to feel anxious as the roof began to shake violently and he realized (that tornado must be above us) suddenly Denny started to panic "whats happening?! It's shakeing!" Ava grabbed him "Denny relax.." then the vaporeon pulled away from her in panic.
"NO!! We gotta get out of here!" Anthony felted alarm as his dad suddenly grabbed him and began pulling him away with him back towards the way they came. Panic shot through him as he realized if they left the tunnle the tornado would most likely get them. "DAD STOP!!"
"DENNY PLEASE COME BACK!!" Ava was now screaming as she chased them Anthony dimmd his rings knowing it would make it hard for the vaporeon to see as it was very dark.
Then he saw it, the entrance. Anthony riped his arm free then fled back towards the others. "ANTHONY!!" Anthony felted a stab in his chest. (the way he screamed my name.... He thinks im in great danger..) then he could hear the rushing pawsteps behind him as he rushed back to the others then Ava used her vine whip to grabbed the vaporeon and hold him down. "Denny stop it! You almost got you and your son killed!" It took a little bit for the vaporeon to finally stop struggleing Anthony's blue rings turnd back on so everymon could see each other. Ryker huged him "im glad your ok arceus that scared me" 
"Everymon just stay clam." Felix said then after some time the tunnle stoped shakeing Ava pulled Denny closer to her. Then he finally took a deep breath now looking embarrassed as everything seemd to settle down Ella was holding onto to Jennifer tightly looking scared.
Kyle gave a sigh of relief "so... thats the frist time i'v seen you have a panic attack... you must really hate being underground.."
"I do... i still don't like this i'd rather die geting sucked into the air then being buried alive.." Ava cuddled with him "you really scared me.... What were you thinking?" "I was thinking of geting out obviously."
Anthony growled "yea im ganna go die with my own son.." Denny flinched and a look that Anthony couldn't read spread on his face as he locked eyes with him. "...i had to... i couldn't just leave you behind... i'd very much die myself before i let anything happen to you again.."
Anthony held his gaze "you were planing on dieing with me?"suddenly pain spread on the vaporeons face as he began to shake a bit.
"No... i don't know.... I just got scared that we we're ganna get crushed and my frist concern was you.." Ava looked at Denny "what about me?.. or the rest of us?" He warped his tail over her "don't get me wrong dear... i was worried about you two.." he kissed her on the cheek "Ava when you have a kid someday you'll understand this feeling."
"Denny's right... you'll do anything to save your kid when worst comes to worst... like Ella right now... i can't imagine leting anything happen to her." Jennifer agreed with him. Now Ava was glareing at Denny "wait.. why did Anthony come before Ella?" The vaporeon grew a look of guilt as Ella slowly walked towards them. But Anthony still couldn't shake the feeling (is there something he isn't telling me?) then Ava broke his thoughts as the leafeon held the little eevee "awww she's so adorable isn't she?" Denny nodded "yea..." then Felix got up "well guys what do you say we carry on?.. the sooner we get moveing the sooner we reach the other end.." Denny looked annoyed "i supose your right then.." 
"I think Anthony should lead us since he's our light." Anthony felted a bit nervous as he padded forward (i mean i do have night vishion... but it's the facted im so unfamiliar wiith this tunnle..) then he felted pawsteps beside him and knew it was Denny.
"Anthony... im sorry i almost got us killed... i was only trying to do what i thought i could to keep you safe." Anthony's ear twiched as he remembered him screaming his name. (He must really care about me... is it safe to trust him?... we'v through quiet a bit now...)
"Why dose it feel like your always hideing something?" 
"seriously this again?-" Anthony cut him off "there was a look on your face when i mentioned you wanted to die with me."
The vaporeon let out a long sigh "you know i still have an unforgivable past that still haunts me to this day..." Anthony stared at him in surprise because Denny hates talking about it. "oh?..." Denny looked at him "...im trying to get over what i did but it's still hard to forgive myself..." 
"So what is it then?... can you tell me?" Denny looked at him "ok.." he began speacking in a lower vioce preventing the others from hearing "Anthony i was so depressed when we had that war... i wanted it to end i didn't want to live anymore i was don... i was hurt i was ganna destroy all i had left.." Anthony stared at Denny feeling the emotions comeing out "my plan was to... kill him and then... the avalanche.. " he paused for a bit then went on.
"Anthony i never plannd on killing you... but knowing you we're ganna die since you were there... and i lied back then i did love you... it paind me so bad... but i was ganna find you and take you with me i wanted to die beside somemon i cared about..."
Anthony now felted sick and disturbed as he looked at his father. "But then.. what was the purpose of curseing me?" Then his eyes went big as more thoughts went into his head "if i died.. i wouldn't have gon to the golden forest.." 
"Relax Anthony you asked and i answered.. im not that way anymore.." (would i have gon to Darkrai's cave with him?!) then Denny frownd "see this is why i really hate to bring it back up.. but i supose i can't blame you...either." Then as Denny was walking beside him he noticed the vaporeon was looking uncomfortable as the walls  in the tunnle became more narrow "so.... What did you and Fredrick used to do?" He asked catching him off guared by the question Anthony looked at him he knew his father was trying to chang the subject to get a new Conversation going.
Then suddenly Felix cut in "hey what are two talking about?.."
"Denny just wants to catch up with his son." Jennifer said moveing forward then Kyle spoke up. "hey ummm it's geting dark back here can Anthony travle back here?... Felix can use his ember to lead the way." Denny nodded "come we'd be safer back there anyway." They made way for Felix to squeeze by followed by Jennifer and Ella. Ryker poked Anthony "so what we're you talking about?" Denny gave him a playful shove "oh just stuff...." Ryker moved closer to Denny "psst ....Denny i ... i think we're being followed..." Denny's smile turnd to a frown "umm what?" The vaporeon stoped and turnd around "Gerrr SHOW YOURSELF!" He yelled out and Anthony got nervous at how fast Denny became hostile "Ricardo is that you?!" 
"Denny stop yelling!" Ava snaped Anthony did his best to light up the area but could see nothing then Ryker looked embarest "maybe.... Hehe it's probilly nothing.." Denny raised a brow at him "Are you sure about that?..."
Suddenly everymon came to a halt and Anthony walked right into Denny pushing him into Ava by accident. Ava yelled "you pushed me!"
"Well why are we stoped? Whats going on up there?" Felix called back "umm... we reached a fork in the road.."
Anthony moved up to see the tunnle branched off in two separate directions."
Denny's mouth droped open. "you got to be kidding me!!" He turnd to Felix with a glare "ok mr. Fluffy you know this tunnle pretty well which way?" The flareon looked nervous "oh..ummm this way?"
"Umm what do you mean?... don't you know?"
"Denny stop it! Your pressuring him!" Ava snaped at him. "Well he dosn't know which way to go! How do we get to the mountions?"
Ava marched up to him "oh i don't know why don't you ask your brother since he gives you guidance!" Denny looked shocked "you... you think i made that up Ava?" Anthony could hear the hurt in his vioce then Jennifer laughed "hehe im sorry Denny... but thats nonsense Fredrick is dead you haven't seen him."
Anthony got mad "he's telling the truth! Fredrick wouldn't abandon me!" Ava sighed "ok.. i do believe you... so could you call him or something?" Denny sat down "It dosn't work that way... it's not up to me when he shows."
"Hey.. umm no offence but can we focus on actually making a real decision here?" Kyle asked.
Ryker glanced at both tunnle then thought for a bit. "hmm well i think we should go left?.. maybe..."
Anthony thought for a bit "errr right maybe?"
Felix looked stressed out "i think we should go right... maybe Anthony's right." Anthony felted his heart pound "oh no don't go by my judement i don't know any more then anymon els here..."
Then suddenly there was the sound of echoing pawsteps comeing from one of the tunnles. Denny jumped up "i knew it! We're being ambushed!" Felix's ears drooped "i didn't know there were others down here..." As they waited the sound was comeing from the tunnle on the left they could hear vioces.
"Blast it! We're just going around in stupid circles were is Ruth?"
"Sir i don't know.."
Anthony got up "thats Recadro! we need to hurry before they spot us!" Without wasteing anymore time he sprung into the tunnle on the right with the others pounding behind him.
Being a dark typ it was easy for Anthony but hadn't realized how bad the others were struggleing to keep up in the dark. "Oww my tail!" Denny snaped then Anthony watched as Felix ran face frist into a wall.
Denny burst out laughing "hahaha carful fluffy.." he mocked then right after he walked into a wall "my nose!" Felix laughed "watch it fins!" Denny raised an eyebrow then Ryker objected "hey thats offensive towards me to!"
Denny swung his tail at the flareon. "hehehe well you just got fin slaped." He snickered
Anthony got nervous "guys we're makeing to much noise!" 
"SHHHHH!" Jennifer hushed everymon "Anthonys right we need to move as fast and quiet as we can." They all kepted going as they we're walking Anthony began to noticed it was starting to get hot, he ignored it at frist but then it got worse as they continued through the tunnle he was now starting to sweat the walls got so narrow they all had to walk in a straight line single filed.
The heat kepted geting worse and worse then Denny muttered again "great i can't see and now im sweating..."
"Shhh!" Jennifer hushed but the vaporeon ignored her "it's to narrow the walls are scapeing up against my skin and im sweating! Can it get any worse?" Suddedy he went quiet then he sneezed. "ACHOO!"
"Ewwww! Denny thats gross!" Ava hissed "it was him! He tickled my nose.. Ah ah ACHOO!"
Felix was trying not to laugh Anthony felted annoyed then suddenly the air became boiling hot to a piont he couldn't handle it anymore.
The walls finally got wider then Anthony collapse to the cold drit ground Ava looked exhausted as she sat down. "I don't get it... why is it so hot?" Felix snickered again trying not to laugh. Then Anthony turnd towards the flareon "Felix... can you please cool yourself down your torturing us..." Ryker sat down everymon was to exhausted. Then suddenly there was a loud hissing sound and it got way worse as the tunnle now became full of stream.
Jennifer began gasping "i..i can't breath!" Ella started crying "Denny! Why did you do that?!" Ava shouted "i was only trying to cool him down!" 
"You idiot! Denny you never put water on hot lava! That only makes it worse!" 
"Yes well now it's don theres no takeing it back now."
Ava moved closer to him "D..Denny im scared.."
"Oh so now we all agree this was a bad idea?"
Jennifer got mad and hissed at Felix "whats wrong with you?! Why did you do this? You had to let your heat out hu? Im an ice typ! This is killing me!" 
Ava snaped "it's not easy for me either being a grass typ..." Ryker whimpered "it dosn't help any of us.. we're all dieing from exhaustion i can't stop sweating and it's gross i want out of this tunnle it's to dark and hot... i wanna be out in the rain." Felix's ears drooped "im sorry guys.. i just kinda got upset with Denny back there... but im over it." Anthony gritted his teeth then Denny hissed "seriously Felix i'll-"
"ENOUGH!" Kyle howled with rage "you two need to stop fighting it's geting ridiculous! Denny you did provoke him don't try to deny it." Anthony felted surprised it wasn't like Kyle to yell or snap at others "Recadro is probilly on our trail becsuse how loud we're being.. or how hot it is, thanks to a specail somemon.." Felix looked at Denny "well im willing to put this all behind us if you are..."
Denny muttered "fine...i'll leave you alone... but don't consider this as a step of friendship or anything your still leaveing once we're out of this place." Felix looked disappointed "why do you hate me?..." Denny just grunted "because i still don't trust you.. i think your lyeing.. you have no idea how to get out of this place do you?" Felix frownd geting up "I do know.. and i think it's about time we get on the move again.. i'll get us out just you watch.." then he began leading once again and they all followed. Anthony lit up his rings again he could tell Denny was geting nervous "i just had a realization..." 
"Oh yea and whats that?" Anothony asked Denny lighty brushed his paw on the wall then showed Anthony "are you catching my drift?" Anthony stared "so what your paw is muddy..." 
"Yes.. thats the problem...." He could tell his father was fighting to stay clam in this moment as he spoke clamy to him.
Anthony cocked his head to one side "umm ok?"
"Anthony.... What happens to drit when it 
becomes moist?" Now Anthony was catching on his eyes grew wide as panic began to take over, his heart started pounding.  "oh....oh no..." Ryker's ears perked up and now he looked scared. "umm Denny ... are we ganna die?" Denny shruged " honestly it's a miracle nothing happend yet.." Ryker got scared "oh dear arceus!..." his vioce was a loud shriek with terrior in it. 
Anthony started breathing harder as he felted his blood run cold he watched the walls just waiting to be burried at any secound.
"Denny quit scareing them!" Ava snaped "Ava the walls are geting softer.... You know what that means?" Everymon froze and Kyle howled "oh arceus! Of course the steam the drit walls we should have seen this comeing! Denny's right! RUN WE NEED OUT NOW!" Then at that secound Anthony could hear a disturbing sound as the walls began to give way and pour
down on them, they all ran as the tunnle began to cave in then Anthony could hear the walls crashing down and felted sticky mud plastering his pelt (no! I'd rather drown in a river then mud!)
"Anthony don't look back keep going!" He herd his fathers vioce right behind him.
Anthony pushed harder to move faster then he paniked as angain the tunnle branched off again, this time in three different direactions. "Dad which way?!" 
"No time! Just choose one im right behind you!" Anthony felted scared as pure terror griped him he dived into one at a far left scrambleing in then he felted pawsteps moveing right behing "GO GO!" Anthony pressed harder hopeing that everymon was behind him all ok then finally his paws reach hard ground again, Anthony felted relieved but still kepted running then he banged into a rock and stumbled to the ground he let out a loud moan. He was exhausted and in pain from the long run, his ears shot upright as he could hear the others screaming it was dark but being a dark typ he could see his dad and a few others he knew they were covered in mud such as himself. his head was buzzing as the mudslide stoped finally they we're safe... "Anthony?...." He felted a paw prob him "it's ok son we're safe now..." Anthony closed his eyes he couldn't stop shakeing he was in shock (we almost died...) "Denny is everymon here?" 
Anthony recognized Ryker's vioce "im on it... i'll call everyone's names and i want everyone to respond."
"Kyle?" 
"Here," he responded
"Ava?" "I...im here..." the leafeon stuttered. "Jennifer?" There was no response then he called again "Jennifer?"
then there was a loud cry "JENNIFER! WERES JENNIFER?!" Anthony sat up that was Ava screaming Denny began digging madly at the pile of mud that they just escaped. Anthony got up "mom?!" He ran over to his dad. "dad.... She... she isn't buried is she?." 
 "ANTHONY help me dig her up!" He snaped Anthony began digging looking around desperately for his mother (arceus please....please don't let her be dead)
Then he felted a deep wave dread when he realized that Ava was holding Ella. "what happend?" He questiond. The leafeon was shaking. "she... she was falling behind.. s...she told me to take Ella..." the leafeon was shakeing "Denny im so sorry!..." She broke down in tears "it's my fualt! I shouldn't have left her.."
"HELP ME DIG SHE'S DIEING!"
they all dug then Kyle yelled "Denny it's to risky if we try to dig her up, we might start another... pluse what if she's way back there?it's hopeless we'll never find her." Then Ava snaped "she's not! She was right behind me she has to be close by i know she is!" the leafeon was cleary just as eager to find her as Denny was. "I got her!" He called out Anthony watched as Denny pulled out her arm "well don't just watch! Help me!" Anthony dug around her and helped his father to pull her free Anthony felt sick the shiny glaceon was completely soaked in mud.. she felted cold and  looked very still. They gently placed her down Anthony began to Tremble as he looked at her. "....she's not breathing...."
"Not yet... she's not gon yet!" Denny opened her mouth and Anthony had to fight the urg not to vomit as Denny placed his paw in her mouth and dug out the mud then he placed his paws on her chest and started pumping. Everymon watched quietly as he kepted pushing then he paused to placed his mouth on hers giveing her mouth to mouth. Felix looked surprised "...did he just kiss her?" He whispered then looked at Ava. "Isn't that considered cheating?"
"Shh not now!" She hissed cleary more worried about Jennifer as everymon els was.
Anthony pinnd his ears back. "....Denny... her lungs are clogged with mud thats not going to work." Kyle pointed out. But he ignored the lycanroc Anthony just kepted watching feeling hopeless as minutes start to go by and Denny is still giveing her CPR. "Kyle why do you think i stuck my paw down her throat?" He snaped "the mud clogged in her throat blocking any air from going into her lungs... she needs air." Ava was still crying "oh Jennifer... im so sorry... don't die..." Felix looked pale as he watched quietly.
Denny paused for a bit looking sad "j...j.. Jennifer...." He rasped out tears steaming down his face "please... Ella needs you..." he wispeard to her then placed his mouth back on hers. Ryker leand close to the shiny umbreon. "Anthony.... Im so sorry... this must be hard for you..." 
"N..no he's going to save her... she'll breath again soon... she has to...."
"Denny... don't give up yet! Please!" Ava pleaded then he placed his paws on her again.
"Im not giveing up on her i know i can save her!" everymon watched closely as Denny started pumping again "come back to us Jennifer..." then he gave her more oxygen then continued for about three minutes then just as Anthony was beginning to lose hope on his foster mother, her eyes blinked open. "MOM!" Anthony called and the others all cheered. "I can't believe it! It's a miracle!" Ryker yelled out looking happy as ever Anthony tryed to run to her at once but then Denny raised his tail up to stop him from getting to close "Anthony give her space... just wait ok.."
He stayed back a bit he could hear sobs comeing from her and it made him feel more unsettled. "Shhh easy now Jennnifer..." he lighty turnd her on her side and she vomited. Then began wheezing shortly after and began crying. Denny rubbed her back "deep breaths ok..." Anthony felted bad for her, she looked to be in pain. Ava ran over "let me help..."
Jennifer cryed out as she tryed to get up.
"Whoa there Jennifer let me inspect you frist you might have a broken limbed for all we know..."
Jennifer finally spoke "wh...what happend?"
"You got burried alive in the mud... Jennifer you wern't breathing... you nearly died..." Ava looked at Denny "yea it's really lucky you know CPR.... Who tought you?" Denny smiled "my father..." Jennifer looked at him "you.... You revived me?" Denny nodded "of course.... Thats the secound time i saved you now...." then he winked at her and she looked away. Anthony noticed her face turnd a little red.
"Fredrick knew CPR to... Richared taught you all when you we're kids.. you must haved really payed attention." Denny nodded "and im glad i did..." he turnd his gaze towards Anthony "i'll have to teach him someday..." then Ava nuged him "i'd like a lession on that as well." He smiled at her "for sure dear.. i'll teach you and Anthony.." he nuzzled her with his nose.
"Stop it.." Ava giggled then
the others moved closer to the shiny glaceon. 
Suddenly Jennifer huged Denny catching everymon off guard.
"Denny....." she sobbed a bit "thank you for saveing me.." Denny awkwardly looked at Ava as if asking her if it was ok to hug the shiny glaceon back. The leafeon dipped her head "go ahead i trust you... she's your sister in law after all." Denny warped his arms around her returning the hug "anytime Jen.... It's the least i could do for you after all i'v don in the past."
Anthony felted a bit awkward then told himself. (no... theres no chemistry between them.... There just good freinds... thats all they can be.) Ryker moved close to Anthony.
"Is it me or dose this seem awkward?"
He whispered Anthony shook his head "na it's fine.. i mean she did almost just die and he saved her life.."
then Felix broke the silence. "i think Anthony wanted to see you Jennifer..."
She looked up at him leting go of Denny. "it's ok Anthony... i didn't leave yet." He ran over and huged her for a few secounds then as she tryed to get up she gave a pianful cry and closed eyes sitting back down.
Anthony steped back as her face twisted in agony. "Whoa are you ok?" He asked
She gritted her teeth together then gave a sigh.
"...i hope so.." then she looked at Ava.
"weres Ella... can i see her?" The leafeon nodded her head then grabbed the little eevee and put her down in front of her. Ella crawled closer to her cuddleing up.
"Awww someone was missed.." Ava said with a giggle but Jennifer was frowning "Ava?.... Is it bad?" The leafeon ran her paw along her body Denny sat back watching her. Then Felix moved towards them "..Jennifer i... i..." he had tears in his eyes "this is all my fualt! Im so sorry... i wasn't useing my head.. i nearly got us all killed... but seeing you laying on the ground motionless... it was just heartbrakeing... please can you ever forgive me?" Jennifer looked at him.
"Ok... i forgive you Felix.... But please help us get out.." Ryker patted the flareon on the back "it's ok Felix don't beat yourself up we all make mistakes if theres anymon who knows that just ask Denny.."
Denny turnd around to face the flareon but said nothing just locked eyes with him and the look on his face just said it all. Ava rested her paw on his shoulder "Denny please.... Hold your tongue for me?." He diped his head at her then placed his paws together letting out a heavy sigh "Felix.... There is a young eevee with us.. just a cub...to young to be in this mess don't you think?" then he turnd back towards Jennifer. Ava frownd "ohh.. oh no... one of her back legs are broken..." Jennifer looked alarmd "really?.... Is there anyway to fix it?" Ava looked worried "not down here... theres no plants or herds or anything..."
Ryker looked worried "...or water.. or food evan" They all turnd to look at Felix then Kyle asked "hey you said your familiar with these tunnles right?.... How much longer will it take?" Felix's ears drooped as he began to look really nervous "oh ummm... well at least the bright side is with this pile of mud and drit in the way at least your enemies can't get us."
"Yes... and theres also no option of turning back now.." Denny responded cooly. Anthony felted a bit of anxiety with that facted "hey good thing it's a shortcut then..." Anthony said looking at the flareon "so.. we can be out in what a few hours or something?" Felix frownd then Ava sighed "umm Felix.. you... you do know the way out right?" 
"...errr yea.. of course i do... hehe maybe we should try to rest for now."
"Yea like im ganna get a good sleep in here... i can't evan tell what time of day it is because we're down here..." Denny complained. Jennifer now looked scared "i really just wanna get out of here.... I don't want to die down here..." Felix nodded "hehe of course... better get moveing i supose..." Anthony felted worried (he seems just as clueless as the rest of us... and if thats true...) he looked at Ryker but he seemed to be pretty clam "don't worry Anths we're not stuck down here forever Felix knows what he's doing we just got to trust him."
Denny looked at Ryker "just how naïve are you?" Ryker gave Denny a disapproving shake of his head "Denny i get that you have trust issues and all... but Felix is clearly a nice guy just trying to help." Ava nuged him in the side "well Ryker is right about that you know... you should apologize to him..." Denny raised an eyebrow "for what?.. hurting his feelings?" 
"Well lets be on the move then if we're to get out soon.." Felix said sounding a bit unsure himself if his words were true. then Denny and Ava both exchanged a look with each other. Then the leafeon spoke "well.. i really hope so.. come on Denny help me with Jennifer."
The vaporeon moved towards her "Jen.. lean on me i'll help you.." Anthony ran to her other side and helped his dad with her Jennifer let out a painful cry as she got up on shaky paws.
"Come on Jennifer you can make it..."
Denny said Ava picked Ella up carrying the young eevee. they all continue walking through the tunnle with the flareon in the lead.
(I really hope we'll be out soon... maybe we should have listend to Denny... was this a mistake?)
