Louis POV
April 24, 2003
I opened my eyes and sat up. "Hello. Anybody here?" It was dark, pitch black. I stood up and started walking, I kept stumbling because I couldn't see anything.
A couple of seconds passed and a bright light swept around the room, looking for something. I soon noticed the light had stopped moving and it shone over me.
I started to hear growling and moaning coming from every direction. That's when I began to sweat, excessively.
Zombies started to come at me from everywhere. One grabbed my shirt pulling me back, while another bit my arm. I screamed in agony.
They all swarmed me, bitting and tearing me apart. The pain was unbearable.
I closed my eyes very tight and as time passed the growling died down. When the sound stopped I opened my eyes.
I was in a forest now. I stood up and started walking. I heard a twig snap and turned around swiftly. I gasped.
"Verena?"
"I waited for you to come find me. Y-you never did." she looked sad. "You told me to go and you'd follow me." I said confused as to why she's blaming me.
"It doesn't matter now." "Yeah you're right" she said as she ran into my arms.
"I've missed you." "I missed you too" she said smiling. "We should get going."
As we were leaving we saw a zombie. "I'll kill it." I gave her a nod and she went. As her knife was about to go through its head, it bit her.
She screamed, attracting more zombies. They all circled her. They then started ripping her apart. I screamed, as if I was being torn apart, I was in the same situation just minutes ago so I could just imagine how she felt. The pain was excruciating. They all looked at me, including Verena.
"H-how?" I questioned as Verena started walking towards me. I slowly backed up. They all started coming towards me now. I ran and didn't look back.
As I continued running I saw a creek. I must've tripped over a rock, because everything went black.
I woke up, panting. It was dream, I pinched myself making sure I still wasn't dreaming.
I looked at the clock, 4:27
I sunk back in bed and tried to go back to sleep. I knew what had to be done.
I had to go find Verena.
