Winter melted into spring and soon enough it was March, where the snow had left there were now flowers all around the grounds at Hogwarts and the birds singing happily could be heard whenever you stepped outside.

Somehow Sirius and Mary had started dating, I'm not saying they weren't a good pair, they were both outgoing and Mary knew how to deal with Sirius's more dramatic side a little better than I did but Mary was a hopeless romantic and Sirius was more into the hook up culture. I had to find out the hard way they were together when I walked into my dorm to see something that made me want to go to Madam Pomfrey and scourgify my eyes.

James was starting to despair one night in the boys dorm, he was layed on the floor staring at the ceiling. "Y/n's dating someone, Sirius is dating someone. And I'm here still not able to get a date from Lily-flower!"

"Maybe it's time to move on, meet some new girls." Sirius shrugged with a mouth full of muggle sweets Lily had bought him for Christmas. Haribos I believe they were called, they didn't do anything like magic sweets but they tasted great.

James shook his head "But it's Lily I want!" He huffed. "She's so perfect."

"She's warming up to you I can tell." I shrugged while stealing some of Sirius's sweets. "Don't loose hope I think you'll end up together. Maybe just give her a bit of space and let her come to you?"

"Moony, how is it you've never had a girlfriend?" Peter asked curiously. I felt Sirius tense from where I was leaning against him and Remus looked down.

He shrugged casually "I'm picky." I don't know why Sirius reacted so strangely to that. "Anyway, we have a mission don't we?" He was quick to change the subject.

"That's right, I want to make every portrait in the castle sing." Sirius grinned. He had grasped our attention and we all leaned forward intently listening. "So what song?"

"Something by ABBA?-"

"No!" Remus and Sirius piped up at the same time. They didn't like ABBA and nor did Peter but James screamed dancing queen at the top of his voice at Gryffindor parties.

"Dickheads." I chuckled and then gasped "We will rock you!"

This was an idea that the boys loved and we sat up late that night trying to work out the perfect spell. By 1am, it was time for action. "Right, Sirius and Pete turn into your animagus so we can sneak out. Y/n, Remus and I will go under the cloak." James instructed us all as I reached in his trunk and grabbed the cloak.
James and Remus had to crouch a lot and I had to a little as well to make sure we were all covered by the cloak. It was safe to say we fit much better under it in first year.

We started on the paintings by the staircase all casting spells but so they would start singing at 9am tomorrow. Then we all split up and went to the four corners of the castle. Remus and James went together so they could use the cloak, I went alone because I trusted my ability to get away quicker and Sirius and Peter went alone too.

I was by the Slytherin common room, whispering the incantations under my breath and with each spell, the painting I was focusing on shimmered quickly so I could see it worked. Not even half way through, I felt a sharp pain in my side like someone had stabbed me. With a cry of pain, I dropped to my knees feeling dizzy. The world was spinning around me as I frantically looked around to see who had done this while trying to catch my breath but my entire body hurt so much it was unbearable. Please just stop, please just stop.

"You really thought you could assult me like that and nothing would happen." None other than Snivellus Snape emerged from the shadows.

"You cowardly little-"
