CHAPTER : 28

                                    

                                          
It's been two weeks since the birth of the new member of the Chavan Niwas. Pakhi and Samrat has returned from Nagpur after completing the name giving ceremony of the baby, Ashutosh. Vir's conference got extended by five days so he couldn't come back after two days. When Sai and Virat were left alone in Hyderabad, they usually spent their day together when they were not busy in their work. The time when they have dinner together or spent their evening together has somewhat made their relationship strong and beautiful again. Sai wanted to tell Virat about her feelings but she couldn't as she first wanted to make things clear with Vir. 
                          
In those days, they both were getting closer to each other. Virat was some what realising that Sai also feels the same way towards him but was not so sure about his feelings as she was getting married and has not yet confessed about her feelings to him. But he knows that in these days which are left with him until Sai got married to some else, He will fight for her. He will fight for his love and will get her back.


                          
It was a normal day, Sai was at Samrat's place. It was evening time and the sun was setting making the sky beautiful with it's last rays for the day. All of them were sitting in the living room. Sai and Samrat was sitting at onside of the room, Virat was sitting on the single sofa and Pakhi was in the kitchen preparing the evening tea for everyone. They all were chatting and having a good conversation. 
                          
Samrat: Pata hai Sai, meine tumhe bahut miss kiya. Tumhe aana chahiye tha humare saath Nagpur, sab tumhe bahut yaad kar rahe the. 
                          
Sai was silent, she was happy that everyone in the family still loves her but she was also afraid to face them, scared of their reaction when they all will get to know that she is engaged to someone else. Virat sees her expression her face and knows that she was scared to face them and she was also feeling uncomfortable with this conversation going on.
                          
Virat: Ha.. Ha... ab bahi ki yaad toh aayegi nahi, behen jo mil gai hai na.
                          
Virat tried to divert the topic and tried to make the situation less awkward for her. 
                          
Samrat: Ha.. ab kya kare, behen ko hi sab yaad rakhte hai, akhir behne zyaada sundar, samajhdar or mature hoti hai bhaiyo se. Samjha!
                          
Samrat said in a teasing tone and the smile on Virat's face disappeared. Looking at Virat's reaction Sai and Samrat both burst into laughter. Pakhi entered the room and saw Sai and Samrat laughing and Virat looking at them in annoyed expression. She put the tray of tea and snacks on the table and took a seat besides Virat on the another single sofa. 
                          
Pakhi: Tum dono ke pass koi or kaam nahi rahta hai kya? Aaj mein nahi mili toh Virat ko pareshan kar rahe ho! 
                          
Samrat: Hum dono ka yahi toh kaam hai.
                          
Samrat said in between his laughter and high fived Sai. Pakhi rolled her eyes and looked at Virat. She was feeling pity for him but somewhere she was also enjoying that for once she was left alone and was not being made fun of by the brother and sister duo.
                          
Pakhi: Virat, tum in dono ki baat hi mat suno. Yeh dono bhai behen na kabhi kabhi pagal ho jate hai, or aaise hi kisi na kisi ko apna shikar banate hai unse maza lene ka. Or pata hai, inka zayada taar shikaar mein hi banti hu.
                          
Virat listened to Pakhi and smiled a little, knowing that there is a good bond between Sai and Samrat and he was also grateful of Samrat being in their lives, as if not him, then there would be no body to support Sai when he left her. Sai listened to what she said. She was about to reply to her but got interrupted by the knock on the door. All of them looked at the open door of the house and the happiness of the room gets replaced by anger and uncomfortableness. 
                          
Vir: Kya mein andar aa sakta hu?
                          
Sai looked at him at the door standing and waiting for anyone of them to invite him inside. There was a long uncomfortable silence but no one invited him inside as nobody wanted him to be there and ruin their peaceful and happy moment. Seeing everyone being silent, Sai finally spoke and called him inside the house. He come inside with a fake smile plastered on his face and stands besides Sai, she got up from the seat and gave him a side hug. He put his hand around her shoulder as if he was making everyone in this room clear that Sai belongs only to her.
                          
Seeing her this close to Vir, Virat was fuming in jealousy. He knows that Vir is handsome with all those muscle and abs and he was sure that he can get whatever he want but he cannot let him take away what is his. He stood up and walked towards Vir. Both Vir and Sai was confused to why he was coming this close to them? Sai was concerned that Virat might do something stupid because she can guess that he was angry seeing Vir this close to her. Suddenly, to her surprise, Virat pulled Vir into a tight hug, making him loose his grip around Sai's shoulder. Vir was as surprised as everyone else in the room. They all stood up and looked at them in shock. Virat broke the hug and stood beside Sai making Vir stand in front of them. Now Virat was standing in between Vir and Sai.
                          
Virat: Aare aapse aache se mulakat nahi hui thi toh socha ki kyu na hum phir se aache se mil le. Bataiye ki kaise aana hua? 
                          
Virat said with a fake smile on his face. 
                          
Vir: Mein yaha apne fiancèe ko ek date pe bulane aaya tha, mere ghar mein ek function hai, meri mummy bhi ko Sai se mile bahut din ho gaye hai, toh socha ki usse bulane aa jao. Waise aap sab bhi aaiye na mere ghar. Issi bahane dekh bhi ligiye ga ki Sai ne apne liye kitna aacha life partner select kiya hai. Hai na Sai?!
                          
He looked towards Sai and she nodded slightly. Virat looked at her and he got hurt somewhere in his heart. 
                          
Vir: Toh aap sab aayenge na?
                          
Everyone thought for  while and finally said yes to his proposal. Virat cannot leave Sai alone with Vir, at least not until she is married to him because he wanted his Sai back and he was ready to fight for her. Samrat and  Pakhi only agreed to his proposal because they know that Virat would not be able to control his feelings seeing Sai and Vir together and also they wanted to drift the new couple apart. 
                          
Vir thanked everyone in the room for excepting his proposal and left the room.
