As another day of silence between the two lovers dragged on, Sweet Pea was losing another game of pool. Something that absolutely never happened to him. He couldn't stop torturing himself but over the words he had said to Alexandria, couldn't stop her insult from playing on a loop.
Couldn't stop thinking about how she's given up on him.
"God. Something really is wrong huh?" Fangs said with a grimace as Sweet Pea missed another shot.
"Shut it, Fogarty." Sweet Pea glared hard.
"What even happened? Never seen Playboy that mad." Fangs laughed, "And the girl hates me."
"I said something stupid and she responded to it in the exact same way." Sweet Pea mumbled as he watched Fangs aim. "She's over me."
"So? Did you apologize?" Fangs asked as he shot the pool stick from between his fingers, missing like usual.
Sweet Pea ignored him and rolled his eyes, "I'm over this."
Just then though the doors of the Wyrm opened wildly drawing Sweet Pea's attention in hopes it was Playboy. That maybe she would come up to him and sit on the edge of the table as if nothing had happened between them.
It was Playboy. The view of her entering reminded him of how stupid he was being. Fine. He said to himself as he stood to head over to his girl- to quietly beg for forgiveness.
Jughead Jones was behind her with his hands in the pockets of a leather jacket- a Serpent jacket. Playboy stood in her own except hers was different, her snake patch held different colorings. Green for sure but it was decorated in red and yellow scales as well. A sign of the blazing heat in Vegas.
Nobody expect for those closest to the girl could seen how worn in it was. Jughead eyed a hole on the shoulder as well as her right sleeve only being able to assume what it was. Bullet holes.
"I think this Northsider is lost." Sweet Pea couldn't help but seethe.
"No, I'm not." Jughead stepped around Playboy as she watched him closely, she had spent the walk here explaining to him how he needed to act. Respectful but firm.
"Tall Boy himself gave me this jacket." Jughead said, "I think it's time I start wearing it."
"Gotta survive initiation first." Playboy glanced to Sweet Pea from her distance away.
"He will." At her adamant yet monotone voice Sweet Pea looked to her, as well as Fangs.
"Probably shouldn't have the outsider train you, Jones." Sweet Pea said but his eyes never left Playboy.
"Watch it." Playboy glared from besides the Jones boy.
"I'm not in a playful mood." When Playboy's hand slid into her jacket pocket everyone seemed to stiffen slightly as if it were a threat.
