Days had passed since that incident. He was always there for her whenever she needed emotional support, his sweet words always at her aid, his warm smile always there to welcome her. She resumed coming back to the café, and soon everything was back to normal.
She would leave her house in the morning, attend her classes and then come back to the café in the evenings, only to be greeted by his bright smile. Sometimes she would purposely come late, and wait till his shift got over so that they can hang out in each other's company.
However dark their days were, as soon as they saw each other, their days would brighten up. They talked about random things, joking here and there, laughing, or even just enjoying the comfortable silence among themselves.
He always felt a flicker of warmth in his heart, whenever he saw her smile at him. Same could be said for her, as blush crept into her cheeks whenever he complimented her, making her flustered easily. They ignored these signs, thinking they were normal, but the same could not be said for their hearts, which had started to seek the other in their darkest times.
