He was standing there, looking at the empty table, which was still empty even when three days had already passed. He felt his heart slowly breaking, as he looked away, quietly untying his apron, getting ready to leave when suddenly the bell on the door rang, indicating a new customer had come. He looked up, expecting someone else but to his surprise, she was standing right there, clad in black clothes, her eyes puffy from all the crying.

"Are you alright?" He asked her, a worried expression on his face, as he quickly got out of the counter, walking towards her. She looked down, before bursting into soft sobs which she was trying to hold back all this time. He felt his heart breaking into pieces, as he quickly took her in his embrace, patting her head softly. "My shift just got over, we can talk outside." He said softly, as he pulled away his apron, keeping it on the table, as he took his things quickly and left with her.

Both of them were sitting on a bench in a small park, as she finally let her feelings loose in his arms, grieving for her grandmother who had passed away in the morning, in the hospital, with whom she used to live with all her life. Every time he heard her sob, he felt his heart shattering into million pieces. He wrapped his arms around her figure, as he tried to console her, trying to wipe away her tears with gentle yet sweet words of his until she was just sitting there in his warm embrace, her head resting on his chest as she inhaled his scent, which was a mixture of freshly grounded coffee along with vanilla. At this point, she felt as if he was the only person who was there for her, whenever she needed someone by her side.
