He would stand behind the counter, making orders, while his colleague would serve his creations to the customers. He would glance around the café from time to time, only to see people have their orders, while they spoke among themselves. Many would come in a group to chat and hang out, some would come to spend some time with their loved one and some would come alone, as they would let their drink calm their mind, putting them at ease.
He was making an order of a customer, when the bell on the door rang, indicating a new customer had come. He looked up to see a pretty girl, a bag on her back, her deep brown hair let down as her dark brown eyes wandered around the café. Her cheeks were rosy due to the biting cold outside, as she rubbed her hands together, trying to make them warm. She walked towards him, as she made up her mind about what she wanted to have today.
"May I have an espresso with a single cube of sugar?" She asked him with her melodic voice, her large doe eyes looking at him for a response. He nodded, as he told her to take a seat and wait for ten minutes. His felt heart beat faster, as he wondered if it was right of him to react such after exchanging a small conversation with an unfamiliar female.
He glanced up, as he saw her pull out a chair and sit by the window seat, keeping her bag on the table as her eyes looked out of the window, looking at the busy streets, filled with people. Later, he saw her open her bag, taking out a book which was similar to a textbook, flipping the pages as she began reading from where she left last time.
She was busy reading her textbook, when she felt a presence beside her. She looked up and saw the same male, keeping her order on the table, a warm smile on his lips. She thanked him, passing a small smile in return. He nodded, as he went away to attend his other customers, leaving the girl alone on her table, with her order. She sighed, as she cautiously took the cup of the hot beverage in her hand, blowing into it to lower it's temperature, after which she placed the cup to her lips, taking a small sip and she felt the taste of coffee spread inside her mouth, relaxing her mind.
