           ~ (Y / n) 's pov ~

I was sleeping in my car for days, while traveling looking for a place to start my life over again.

It was already getting dark when I stopped at a small diner on the side of the road, I entered the establishment, attracted by the smell of fried food.

I chose a table next to the window, the pane occupied almost an entire wall and gave a wide view of the road, so I stood there watching the few cars that passed from time to time, illuminating the asphalt with their headlights. I thought of places I could go, I was afraid that William would try to follow me to finish what I had started.

I was pulled back to reality when I heard a childish voice that spoke excitedly.

"Daddy, look daddy." I looked at one of the tables, imagining that it was Elizabeth, as soon as I looked, I noticed that there was a father with his daughter, but the little girl was very different from Elizabeth, this one had black hair, almost like the feathers of a crow and well curly that were stuck in a ponytail and her skin was black. She showed her teddy bear to her father who smiled at the little girl.

I shook my head, trying to leave all the events of the past few months behind, turned my gaze back to the window. At that moment I heard a female voice very close to me.

"Good night, what are you going to order?"

I looked back, she was about forty years old. I hadn't even chosen what to eat yet, so I picked up the menu and said, taking a quick look at the options, so I answered.

"I'll order a number three with fries and Coke."

The woman wrote everything down on a small pad of paper, before walking away, the woman commented.

"I liked your ring, your lover must like you very much and he is certainly a lucky man."

I winced at the comment, but just said.

              "Thanks."

"You're welcome" She smiled and walked away.

As soon as the woman walked into the restaurant's kitchen, I let out a sigh and thought as she fiddled with the ring on my finger "I need to restart my life over again..."
