"hey hito-kun, isnt your match after this one?" midoriya whispers, his eyes still glued to the match up of todoroki and bakugo, since there was an issue in match ups asui had to go against bakugo and because todoroki was from recommendations he'd go against who ever won.
bakugo won, resulting in this fight.
"yeah. im against kuroiro shihai apparently which wont be hard, i suppose." shinso shrugs.
"hmm..okay." izuku continues to watch the match.
the match was quite a fight, lots of ice, and explosions here and there. in the end, bakugo won as todoroki went out of bounds.
"oi izuku, isnt he that childhood friend?" shinso asks, leaning close to deku. "yea..but its a little complicated." deku replies, his eyes going dull looking at his 'friend' and how angry he seemed, probably because todoroki didnt use his left side.
"k'ay.." shinso replied, leaving his seat to go get ready.
"mind if i walk with you?" midoriya stands up too.
"whatever you want." shinso continues to walk away. izuku tags along happily.

"im nervous."
"i can tell." midoriya laughs, making shinso's head turn at him. they were waiting for shinso to be called at waiting room 2, kuroiro being just a couple rooms away.
"just use your brainwashing! and, if that fails, go onto light! its not that hard." midoriya beams, shinso deadly glares at the boy. "easy for you to say..you went against something that could be found in home depot."
midoriya breaks into laughter, shinso lets out a couple giggles. "ill be watching! do your best!" midoriya smiles and walks away.
"yea.." shinso mumbles to himself and returns his stare at his hands.

during the introductions, shinso decided to speak up to kuroiro.
"must've been so easy for you! you were born with a quirk fit for a hero!" he screamed.
shihai smiles, a wide, grin. "y-" he starts, and shinso captures him in a trance.
"GO!"
"go out of the white line like a good boy." shinso smiles. the one time his quirk showed he was strong.
"i-is the match just going to end like this?! this quick?!" present mic announces, shocked, speechless even, which is surprising for a person like him.
kuroiro stands out of the border and shinso takes off the brainwashing.
"kuroiro is out of bounds! shinso will advance!" midnight states, a little shocked at how fast that match went. shinso's quirk is truly strong.
kuroiro sinks to the floor as it was quite dark, quite saddened at his loss.

"good job!" midoriya congratulates, running down the hall where shinso was walking. "yea, you did good!" mei gives a thumbs up. shinso smiles, saying a small "thanks."
