TRIGGER WARNING : mention of blood
It was supposed to be a good day.
Everyone was supposed to have fun in the small picnic that they prepared, but I must ruin everything. My vision quickly faded away as my absolute control over my body suddenly disappeared, it was as if someone threw me off myself and took over my entire body. The next thing I knew was that I was surrounded with a thin, crimson string by the peak of Dragonspine.
I was under the floating pillar that was rumored to fall off Celestia. This had happened right after (Y/n) thawed out the ice crystals and removed the snowstorm that was blocking the way up.
As soon as I regained full control of my body, I noticed that I didn't feel cold even though there was a snow storm brewing by the peak. Weird enough, I feel warm all throughout my body, especially my hand. Looking down, I saw the Festering Desire flickering with malice. There was a dark fog wrapped around the sword, just like the first time I picked it up.
A puddle of dark matter was under my feet, I had no idea what had happened while I was out but I instinctively used the wayport to teleport to the main city of Mondstadt. As the gentle breeze wrapped around my body to take me to where I wanted to go, a feeling of dread suddenly washed over me. This was the same feeling when I saw Khaenri'ah in ruins back then.
When I arrived by the waypoint, instead of the usual welcoming city of Mondstadt. Everything turned into a ghost town, even the Fatui weren't in their usual spots. It was.. eerily quiet.
"Klee..?" My instincts told me to call my sister's name. We may not be blood-related, but I still treat her like my sibling since her mother took me in when I first got here. "Klee!!"
No answer.
I furrowed my eyebrows and quickly jumped over the fence which landed me by the edge of the clean sewers and it created a splash that drenched the edge of my lab coat wet. But that wasn't my priority. I went over to the alchemy area where Timeus usually studies some books and noticed that he, too, wasn't there.
"Sucrose?" I called out for my student. "Timeus?!"
Everything was strange, the once colorful city of Mondstadt then turned into something monochrome. I started bolting up the stairs, trying to reach the plaza as fast as I could. That was where we were all supposed to have the picnic together, by the foot of Barbatos' statue.
I was by the horizon and saw Klee jumping around while waving her hand while she awaits my arrival. That was until I felt myself falling over and everyone rushing over to my side before losing myself.
When I arrived at the plaza, the same dark entity was climbing atop of the statue. I noticed that as it crept upwards, it went to a magenta colored hue and allowed with the same malice as the sword in my hand. It actually resonates with the Festering Desire, the sword glowed when it was near the dark entity.
