As the archon war slowly came to end, the lord of stone himself took a walk down the places where the long, harsh battles happened. He remembered the peaceful times before the archon war; those who had shared Osmanthus wine with the archon were now gone in the midst of the war.
Rex Lapis, now contemplating if he should step down as an archon and let his people lead the city to prosperity. With these hands, he can create and destroy and he may fear that one day, he'll destroy everything that he created with his own power.
While glancing around his surroundings, the geo archon heard a faint crying sound somewhere and decided to follow where the sound was. Once he reached the location where he heard the crying sound, he found a huge amber stone that was broken in half. There was also a crying infant on top of the amber and Rex Lapis quickly took that child within his arms and cradled it ever so gently.
Maybe, one of the adepti enclosed the child in the honey colored stone so it would be safe from the destruction of the archon war. Rex Lapis smiled a little as he played with the mere infant, making them laugh as he wiggled his finger in front of their face. Once their little hands wrapped around the archon's finger, he wondered where the parents of the child went.
Looking upon the destruction around him, it may seem that the parents' whereabouts were unknown as he didn't know if they got buried under the midst of war.
"I apologize for the mess my little lapis" the archon connected his forehead with the infant, making the infant giggle and hit his face a couple of times with their little hands. Rex Lapis chuckled, "I'll take you to Mt. Aocang for a moment. Maybe Cloud Retainer knows what to do with you.."
Upon arriving at the mountain, there lives a certain knowledgeable crane up above the peak in her humble abode. When Rex Lapis told her about the mysterious child, the adeptus looked at the infant with wonder in her eyes. Her beak was grabbed by the child and it was shaken a couple of times before Rex Lapis could gently pry their hands away from the adeptus' beak.
"Aah, I apologize for that Cloud Retainer.." Rex Lapis looked at the adeptus with a worried look but the crane only shook her head in response. "Do you think I can keep this child and raise it on my own? Their parents are nowhere to be found as well and I feel rather bad if I were to leave them out alone in the open"
