Chapter 23 / Phoenix force

                                    

                                          

You jolt up when you hear some random screaming, looking beside you to see Loki asleep. Checking your watch, you had heightened senses. That's why. 
                          
You shake Loki awake, calling his name repeatedly. He stirs open and looks to see you panicked. 
                          
"Is there something wrong?" He asks, still half-asleep. 
                          
"I hear screaming. Obviously, there's something wrong!" You exclaim, making him wake. "Come on!" You pull him to the hallway and walk over. 
                          
"What are your powers?" Loki asks, you show him your watch. He nods slowly and continue walking. 
                          
"I have a bad feeling about your mother, Loki. Where is she?" You ask, your stomach starts churning. Feeling a little dizzy, that must've been how you sense danger. 
                          
"I think I might know." He replies, taking you by the waist. And the second you know you were beside Frigga and Jane. 
                          
Jane jumps at the sudden appearance of you two, the looked sort of panicked. 
                          
"What is happening, mother?" Loki asks, holding Frigga's hands. 
                          
"We must go to your father, come along." She said, walking away while the three of you follow shortly. 
                          
Before she walked, you heard Loki mumble "He's not my father." under his breath.

You've reached a dim hallway, the only thing lighting it up were the fire. You spot Odin who was ordering the guards. 
                          
"Odin." Frigga calls, Loki behind her whilst you and Jane beside. 
                          
"Frigga." Odin acknowledges, "It's a skirmish, nothing to fear." Frugga gives a tiny laugh. 
                          
"You've never been a good liar." Frigga retorts. You see Sif pass by, Jane and her making eye contact. 
                          
"I'll come to you when it's safe." Odin assures. 
                          
"Take care." Frigga smiles. 
                          
"Despite everything I have survived, my queen still worries about me." Odin said, caressing Frigga's cheek. He walks away and suddenly, you felt light-headed. A hammer like sensation hit your head. 
                          
"Ow." You whisper, following Frigga as she leads you to Jane's chambers. 
                          
Frigga suddenly draws her sword and said, "Listen to me now, darlings. You do everything I ask, no questions."
                          
"Yes, maam." Jane said, and you nodded slowly. 
                          
A stinging sensation made you slow down, Frigga takes notice. 
                          
"What's wrong, y/n?" She asks, holding your arms but letting go once you start explaining. 
                          
"I'm getting a feeling something bad is happening." You turn to Loki, "I need you to help Thor." 
                          
"But-" 
                          
"Go, I'll protect them. It's what I do." You smile. 
                          
"I'm also worried about you, y/n. Your careless." He argues. "And you don't have your sharpest skill." 
                          
"Just, trust me. Alright?" He nods slowly. Giving you a quick kiss on the forehead before sprinting off.

Hiding in Jane's chambers with Frigga on guard, you work on your watch. After reading this skill you found in Loki's books, you couldn't resist but to use it. Remembering clearly what it said, 
                          
"Hey, Loki." You call out, wiping the dust of the book, "What's the phoenix force?" He stood up and walked to you. 
                          
"A powerful entity." He replied, taking a look at the pages you were reading.
