Chapter: 90

                                    

                                          
Reyhan felt something wet on her cheek. She fluttered her eye lashes to slowly open it and find a tear drop running down her cheek. She confusedly touched her cheek then her eyes, confirming if it was hers? As she was in the middle of her findings, a tear drop again fell on her cheek and this time she was sure whose tears it was!









                          
She raised herself a little and lightly touched Emir's cheek to wipe out the remaining tears. As soon as Emir felt her soft fingers running on his cheek, he turned towards her and hugged her tight, burying his face in her shoulder and broke down into tears. Reyhan was perplexed. She didn't knew why he was crying. As in this 1 week of their hide out, she only saw him smiling, laughing and pampering them. She never saw him even sad in the span of 7 days. 











                          
She patted his back to calm him down while showering him with peppered kisses on his head and asked him, out of confusion.










                          
Reyhan: (slowly but confusingly) Emir..... Are you alright? What happened to you? Did you saw some nightmare?







                          
Emir didn't say anything but buried his face in her shoulder even more. Reyhan again asked him the same question. This time, Emir replied her, slowly.








                          
Emir: (in muffled voice) That day... that day I thought I lost you forever... 





                          
Coming out from her hug, cupping her cheeks in his palms. 








                          
Emir: (cryingly) It was even worse than a nightmare! I tried hard to forget that, but the scene of you lying lifelessly on the floor with our baby in your arms, who was crying bitterly, is not leaving my mind at all. It got stuck there and every time I smile, my heart clench with unknown fear, what if Cemre tried to harm you again? What if she tried to kil....

Emir excitedly opened the door along with a team of doctors to show Reyhan's progress but his face lost all his colours when he saw her lying lifelessly on the floor, yet again! Their baby was crying bitterly, as if trying to wake her mother up but all her efforts went in vain because Reyhan didn't moved!








                          
Nurses ran to her and immediately made her lay on the bed while one nurse handed over the baby to Emir. Emir held his crying baby, with his eyes fixed on Reyhan. Just then, he felt someone attempting to move out of the room. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Cemre tip-toeing out the room. It didn't took him more time to process what had happened and as if confirming his suspicions, doctors told him that equipments which were supporting her systems, got off for some reason that's why she collapsed. But she was out of danger now. 








                          
Emir inhaled deep in satisfaction and slowly made his way to Reyhan carrying their still crying baby. Reyhan was unconscious but he can see the tension lines on her forehead. He knew that something worst happened, when he was not there. He knew that Cemre had done that! He knew that Cemre tried to kill her, yet another time! Till that time, he was not able to believe Nigar who told him how she saw Cemre pushing Reyhan. But now, it was crystal clear to him that Cemre did this purposely. And God knows, what else she had done till date to separate them, he wondered fearfully.

He couldn't complete his sentence and sat up on the bed, abruptly.
