8 - still in the vc

                                    

                                          
It wasn't out of the ordinary for George and Dream to sit in silence after a stream, the two did it very regularly. Perhaps it was something to do with comfort, or friendship, or just laziness, but they both enjoyed it nonetheless.
                          
Dream had presumed it was another one of those times, the two sitting in quiet, just doing their individual things. But then, Sapnap called. Sapnap called George. 
                          
And just as Dream was about to tell George he's not on mute, they began talking about him. 
                          
i wanna kiss you senseless georgie. 
                          
"It's just not fair Sap" George had said 
"What's not?" 
"He says all these things to me, and doesn't know the effect they have. He doesn't care about how i feel" 
                          
The familiar heavy feeling returned to Dream's heart. Is that really what George thought? Did he really think that Dream didn't fantasise about the things the two said to eachother, that his stomach didn't do triple flips each time they flirted a little? That he didn't care how George felt? 
                          
"Oh come on George you know that's not true" responded Sapnap. 
"Do i? Do i know? I don't know anything!!" said George, volume heightening and voice breaking "He's never honest with me ever" 
                          
Dream internally chuckled. He was only ever honest with George. Everything he said, he meant. Maybe some things were a bit exaggerated, but even then, given the opportunity- its not something he would say no to. 
                          
"And are you ever honest with him George?" said Sapnap 
There was a deathly silence from the british boy. 
"No" he whispered, barely loud enough that Dream could even hear his response. 
"Maybe you should be, your other plan clearly isn't working." responded Sapnap.
                          
Dream regretted not leaving the vc when the others did. He regretted not telling George he was still  there as soon as he heard George's phone ringing with a call from Sapnap. It was plain eavesdropping. It was a blatant invasion of privacy. And Dream wished he had listened to his conscience and left. 
                          
But he didn't. 
                          
And now, now he was left with countless unanswered questions. What did George need to be honest about? What was the original plan? Would George be honest with him? 
                          
He couldn't exactly confront George or Sapnap, knowing both boys would be extremely mad if they found out he had listened in on their private conversation.
                          
"Yeh, maybe. Thanks Sap" George gently responded 
"Anytime" said Sapnap, before ending the call, leaving George sitting in silence once again.
                          
The blonde heard him get up from his chair and leave his room, giving him a chance to leave the call now without him noticing.

George stood up from his chair and walked out his room, going to grab a snack as he didn't actually get one earlier. 
                          
Sapnap was right, the plan of ignoring Dream wasn't working, it was simply impossible to do. But he didn't like the idea of confessing his feelings to him either. 
                          
All he knew, was that he couldn't carry on like he was anymore. His mind was constantly thinking about him. About the flirtatious, stubborn, faceless man that he was slowly falling for, more and more everyday. And according to Sapnap, the only way to put these thoughts to bed, was to confess them.

Dream wanted to sprint downstairs to where his friend was, and interrogate him for answers to everything George said. be honest with him. 
                          
What does that even mean?! There are so many possibilities... does George love him? Does he hate him? Does he have a girlfriend, is he not coming to florida? Are they secretly long lost second cousins? 
                          
But no, he couldn't ask Sapnap. He couldn't ask George. Because they didn't know that he knew.
