SiennaWhite: Loving the weather today, it's perfect for a girl's day.
Erin and Emma had pulled me all over town today and to be truthful I didn't mind I had loved spending time with them. We went and got our nails done and got some cute new outfits. I bought Eleanor some new shirts for school and even a pair of black flats that I knew she would like. The only thing was that I wished Sophia could come along too, she would have enjoyed this girl's trip but I understood morning sickness. I had horrible sickness with both of my children all the way through. She had promised to come by later today if she was feeling better.
I had just got a message from Lisa about how they had made it back to Ryan's and that both Eleanor and Louie were napping. I could just imagine how many times she had Dave go down the slide or push her swing. About this time we were getting back in Emma's car. Erin and she were telling me all of the embarrassing stories from when Ryan was little. I had to laugh when Emma told me about him pouting when their parents told him that Erin was a girl and not a boy like he wanted because I could see him standing there doing it. I couldn't help but feel so comfortable with them. They had become the closest thing to sisters that I have ever had; other than the friendship I had with Sophia. It made my heart swell thinking that I would love for Eleanor to have some siblings. Thinking of that, I had come across El talking while playing in her playhouse Ryan and Chase got her the other day, saying she'd love to have a little sister.
"After she was born, Ryan would not touch her or get close. I was the opposite, I loved having a sister. Mom let me fix up her hair and choose cute dresses to put on her." She looked at Erin, a smile reaching her eyes as she spoke. I loved that, knowing I was the same when Eleanor was born.
"I had begged my parents growing up to give me a baby sibling. I never understood why they didn't until my mom told me that she even had trouble conceiving me when I was old enough and then I understood." I told them, remembering when I asked Mom why everyone else had brothers and sisters and I didn't. She always told me not to worry about it until I was in my teens, then I was told the truth.
"Do you think you'll want more kids?" Erin asked, leaning forward in the backseat to be in the conversation more. I had noticed she was on her phone a bit more than usual but never really gave it much of a thought. Now the thought of more kids crossed my mind quite a lot.
"Oh yes. I'm an only child and I was not too fond of that. Sadly, before I had Eleanor, I had given birth to a little boy named Jace. He died before he was even born." I had seen Emma swiftly look at me once I said that, a small gasp leaving her lips. I knew exactly what she was thinking, and I couldn't even imagine trying to tell someone the pain I felt during that time.
